Mama's name is Lydia nee Padilla. She's the third sibling of nine. Quite a number huh? She went to school in Aquinas (formerly Legazpi College) University --- that's where she met Papa, Edito. I don't really have a clear picture of how their lovelife came about --- but I'll ask the next time I call. Anyway, they married in May 1970 and settled in Legazpi City. Papa worked as Manager for several branches of a government bank. He died in June 1990. Mama still lives in Legazpi. |

I've got 2 siblings, both already married. So that leaves just me -- no plans to get married (hehehehe). |

The eldest, Edilynn, is in Manila with her husband, Eric and her daughter, Angel. - need to update the pics. I've got 2 nieces now: Angel & Andrea - baka magtampo si bunso kung di siya kasali. She's a DBA for a major firm but she's an Industrial Engineering graduate. Her name was supposed to be Edilyd (sort of compound of Papa and Mama's name but it sounded too strange so they changed it). Of all siblings, she's the nerd (hey sis, no offense). She really excelled in academins in high school, but don't let that fool you. She's not below making "kotong" in college. Just ask every Engineering alumni '89. They'd probably been victims. |

The youngest, Edito, is named after my father -- so he's a Junior. He's married to my favorite sister-in-law, Ria.O di ba, di biased.Expecting a baby this year!!! It's gonna be a boy, dunno how he'd look like.. Basta alam ko, spoiled ang bata. Need to get pics pa rin, as usual. Pikon pa rin, kahit ayaw aminin, pero mas okay na ngayon, nababantayan na kasi. Pumayat after the training in Japan, pero ngayon, mas buntis pa kesa sa akin.

Then there's me, Daphne. How I got the name I don't really know --- you'll have to ask my mother. But you're right, I'm the only one not named after any relative that I know of. I have been a slave to fate, not knowing where it would take me next. So I don't really know if I'll be where I am next year. Who knows, I might even be able to work nearer to home in the future. Aside from spending too much time in front of a computer, I do try to get in shape. Been trying for the last few months, in fact, with no luck. I just need to be contented in being the fat one in the family, as in feeling like Tweetie-bird and there's no end to it. |
