| Family Resource Specialist (FRS) Betsy Longenbaugh (907) 463-24 e-mail Provides direct and referral services in: * Adoption * Child Care * Elder Care * Parenting Skills * Special Needs * Separation for care of newborns Also manages the following programs: Coast Guard Child Care Program All Child Care in Coast Guard owned or leased housing must be certified if: * Care is given on a regularly scheduled basis. * The care is given for 10 or more hours a week. * The provider is paid for his/her services. Special Needs Program Why the Coast Guard has a Special Needs Program: * To ensure family and Coast Guard needs are met. * To assist the member with appropriate referral and resources during transfer. * To ensure mission readiness. Ombudsman Program The Ombudsman is a Coast Guard Spouse who is designated by and responsible to the commanding officer and serves as a link between the command and families. |
