| This unit is the second of four units available in Tertiary Preparation Mathematics. It assumes that you already have a good grasp of arithmetic and the the basics of algebra and geometry. You may have acquired this knowledge at school, through another course or through Mathematics Tertiary Preparation Level A. Thisf module is designed to help you refresh these topics so that you can complete assignment 1 and be well prepared to study the rest of the unit. In most instances, however, we will only briefly review the topics so that instances, however, we will only briefly review the topics giving llimited explanations and examples. Many students will find that these are adequate, while others might find they need further explanation. If you fall into the latter group then the best plan is to discuss your difficulties with your tutor.
