The English Society is one of the biggest clubs in school. We had over 130 members and the schoolmates give much support to our society. The committee block consists of a chairman, a vice-chairman, a treasurer, a secretary, two propagandists and 5 other committee members. We all devote ourselves to organize various activities that suit our schoolmates.

   We offer numerous functions regularly in school. Essay competitions are open to students from all forms whereas translation competitions are for senior forms students. There is also an "Elite Group" for junior forms students. We hope all schoolmates learn and have fun in participating in these activities.

    Besides competitions, the society arranges some interesting and educational activities. We have Up-words competitions, crossword puzzles, phonetic class and "Learning English Through Songs", etc.

    All these activities provide chances for schoolmates to practice more and to learn more English. They can know more about the four basic language skills: reading, writing, speaking and listening. A good foundation of English is a key to approach other subjects. With the help of our society, we hope that the English level of participants can be enhanced and improved by joining our activities.

    We also assign some students to take part in some inter-school competitions such as the radio drama competitions and essay competitions. Our students always get excellent results in these competitions. In the last three years, our students joined the essay competitions and were able to come back with trophies.

    In the future, we will try our best so as to strive for further achievements. The English Society needs your support. Come and join us!
