The Moon is a symbol for the triple goddess- Maiden, Mother and Crone. The Moon also represents feminine powers of intuition and magick.
So Moon Magick is when you use the lunar cycles of the moon to increase the power of your magick and spellcasting. This is the power associated with the triple goddess.
Moon Phases
Firstly to use the Power in the moon you have to understand, what each phase of the moon means.
Moon Calendar 2001
This calendar outlines the phases of the moon for this year. Of course if you need to do a spell and we are in the wrong phase of the moon, You can use the Moon Water recipe. (This recipe is one I found in Yasmine Galenorn "Embracing the Moon") I find it does work and is more convenient then waiting for the next phase. If you are hesitant in doing this then you can always alter the spell to suit the phase of the moon, you are currently in.
Astrological Phases
As the moon enters a new astrological phase its energy and how it affects us is altered. Spells and rituals can also benefit from being cast or performed at specific astrological times.
Stones and Gems
There are Stones and Gems that are ruled by the moon. I use them on my alter to help in specific spells. This is a list of those that I know about and have used. I am looking for others as I find them I will add to the list.
Woods
When creating altars, magick wands, and other spell craft tools from wood, these woods are those that represent the moon.
