| Human Biography: Cyber Mustelid - (AKA Norka, Norka C., and few "colorful" words too!) sign - Aries - 29 yrs. old (Married) I figured I should write a bit of a biography on myself and enclose some snapshots of me, the picture taker and cartoonist behind the Quarks. First off although I am always told I am full of a lot of things, all that aside I will try to share some of the reasons why I did this site up to be, well like it is. I am a ferret nut, plain and simple. Have had them in my life about a decade now. I have some minor art talent, if it can be called that, a degree in color therory, (talk about useless, but man can I co-ordinate!), and not to mention way too much time on my hands. Oh and we won't even begin to talk about the fact that my spelling and use of the English language is well, just terrible! But you get the point none-the-less right? I've held many jobs, from the humble you want fries with that, to the not so humble need a background check/clearance type of work, and well, ahem a few I won't ever admit that I've really done to just anyone! (Those of you who really know me might recognise the tune I picked for this page and secretly understand that cryptic statement...ha ha!) I've traveled a lot in the U.S.A., Tijuana Mexico, and various places in Canada. I have fun when I can and for some strange reason feel the need to share it with people in a sense only my twisted humor thinks is appropriate via the internet almost in a sad Jerry Springer-ish sort of fashion. I have no pride! Ha! |
| Believe it or not, I am currently enrolled/ing in pre-veterinary-medical/zooology courses. (Some schools just let anyone in them as long as they get the money! Ha!) And well that I figure a person with terrible penmanship should be a doctor of some sort, and I love animals so why not right? And if I fail out on all that I look at it this way, at least the tiger's cage will be tastefully decorated with the right colors that compliment his fur perfectly! |
| I've loved animals all my life, and have owned quite the variety. Rodents, reptiles, birds, fish, you name it at one time or another "it followed me home" so to speak. I can honestly say I don't think I have ever had a time in my life when there wasn't some type of pet life form about me. I love to read and am horribly crushed with the recent passing of Douglas Addams. I am a fan of his Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy works, and even his latter Dirk Gently books. The Quark alien ferret head logo is a spin off of his "Don't Panic" smiley in a weird sense, and now adopted for a psuedo logo of my cartoons on Ferret-Universe. I read Issaic Asmov, Ray Bradbury, and Aurthor C. Clarke books too! Yea, I'm an odd girl who loved Omni, and still reads sci-fi. And yes, I do own a pair of "Star Trek" emblem earrings. Go ahead, grill me I'm a closet nerd who finds Robot Wars, Crocodile Hunter and PBS some of the greatest things out there. Man who wouldn't want to go out for beers with Steve Irwin and Terri? Though I bet by the end of the night one would get stuck holding a venomus snake while he goes to fetch another one he just spotted. Still I bet it would be fun though! But I know I'd get bit while laughing too hard pissing off the snake I'm stuck holding when I hear him say "Your a nuaghty little snake! Oh your getting grumpy!" to that rattler or whatever he happens to find. And that's about just my luck too. |
| Why Cyber Mustelid ? Well, Cyber Ferret and all the likes were taken. So I figured why not Mustelid after the family that ferrets are in. Ha ha ha though, the cyber kind of makes me sound like some sort of computer guro. I have no real knowledge of computers other than that button down there turns it on, and that any problems I've had with mine in the past somehow I've managed to fumble through and miraculously fix! Though I'm not saying my computer runs perfect all the time! It hates me! I know it! |

| The picture there on the left is what I can the Three Stooges. The guy on the far left with the cigar in his mouth is my husband, the other two are his friends. I figured I'ld put his picture up here so if you see him and feel bad that he has such a geek of a wife that would make a web site like this and you just happen to see him in a bar you'ld buy him a Budweiser for sympathy and say, "Man your wife is a geek, like dude I am sorry, here's a beer!" Though actually this just might be a joint effort and secretly his idea, because after all we all love a free beer! Psst... make mine a Guinness or New Castle! |
| Gee what do you use to get your pictures? Cannon IQ zoom type camera, and Sony Mavica cameras. I also use Adobe Photoshop, Corel Draw to edit them with, and lots of luck on getting a good shot. Burn film baby! That's the only trick to get a good shot, and with pets, they all bribe well with food. People bribe well with beer and food too but generally too much bribery they just fall down drunk and make lousy subjects. |
| Before I place my biography up here I'ld like to answer a few imaginary questions I'm pretending you'll ask and where I'll pretend you are actually interested in what I have to say and I'll pretend to actually attempt to write something meaningful that might answer it. Yayy! I'll even make believe I can spell better! |
