About Jesus--- Who, exactly is he?
Ah... you got me. You sure got me. What do you think I can said? You are denying that Jesus even exists. You are saying he is not real, because there is no proof besides the bible that he lives. I believe this is the same situation faced by many religions as well... that there is no historical proof of the existence of many of their religious leaders. But Jesus... does have historical documents outside of the Holy Bible to support that he exists. You, of course will not take into account all the letters written by Paul in reference to Jesus, because you claimed that could be make up. It is inside the bible, so it is not accurate in your eyes. Anything to do with the bible cannot be taken as an evidence, you argued. Of course, Luke the historian who write a gospel of Jesus is also lying. Of course. (Smile.)
This could be all a hoax created by the Christian people to successfully create a religion that binds people to it.
Wow... what a hoax... indeed. It must be so fun to deceive the whole world. So fun that they even die for it. Haha... talking about fools. The Christians are fools to die for their own inventions. By this, I refer to the early Christians.
Oh well... then, the bible is not evidence that Jesus exists, not in your wise eyes. The disciples might be making up the whole Jesus story. Friend, no one can stop you if you insist to believe that Jesus is a make-up story to scare sinners to do good.
But... please take a look at these important historical evidences of Jesus' existence. They are from, by the way, NON-Christian sources.
1) Cornelius Tacitus--Governor of Asia
Cornelius Tacitus was a Roman governor and historian of Asia(Turkey) in A.D. 112. Here is what he wrote in Annals XV 44: "Christus (Christ), the founder of the way (way= Christianity), was put to death by Pontius Pilate, procurator of Judea in the reign of Tiberius; but the pernicious superstition, repressed for a time broke out, again, not only through Judea, where the mischief originated, but through the city of Rome, also." He is referring here, to the persecutions that broke out in Rome against Christians by the false accusations of emperor Nero of Rome against believers of the way-- early believers of the Christian faith. For what he writes, we can conclude:
A) Jesus exists... and is put to death.
B) Pontius Pilate also exists.
C) You are wrong that Jesus is invented, and not real.
2)Flavine Josephus
He was a priest, and Pharisee, born in AD 37. Here is what he wrote in the antiquities of the Jews, book XVIII, chapter 3, section 3 : "Now there was about this time Jesus, a wise man, if it be lawful to call him a man, for he was a doer of wonderful works, a teacher of such men as receive the truth with pleasure. He drew over to him both many of the Jews, and many of the Gentiles. He was Christ, and when Pilate, at the suggestion of the principal men among us. had condemned him to the cross, those who loved him at the first did not forsake him: for he appeared to them alive again the third day: as the divine prophets had foretold these and ten thousand other wonderful things concerning him. And the tribe of Christians so named from him are not extinct at this day."
A Pharisee, is a Jewish priest. That is, a follower of Judaism. A gentile is a non-Jews.
Of course, these are not the only historical documents to prove that Jesus is historical, not fictional. You might disagree, still... but the fact that you read this webpage of mine, will condemn you if you deny one day before God that no one tells you about the historical Jesus. I am telling it to you, now. Jesus exists not only in the bible. He also exists in history. He is real. Not fictional.
