The Hardcore Wrestling Federation Monday Night Manliness Live from University Hall in Charlottesville, Virginia
Last week, Chris Jericho upset Steve Austin for the HWF World Title,
which made Matt Johnson furious because Jericho broke away from his cWo.
This week, Johnson will send the newest cWo member, Cactus Jack after Jericho's
world title. Also, Steve Austin demanded a match with the man he feels
is responsible for costing him the HWF title, Raven. The first round of
the HWF U.S. title tournament will get underway tonight as Bret Hart will
battle Goldberg and Shawn Michaels will take on Justin Credible. The Pump
Masters will collide with Jeff Jarrett and Shane Douglas. Scott Steiner
will be looking for revenge on the Chosen One and the Franchise, who last
week destroyed Big Poppa Pump's new hummer, The Pump Mobile.

U.S. Title Tournament-First Round vs.
Bret Hart
Goldberg Bret came out first and took a microphone. "I'm so sick and tired
of all of the injustice that I have to put up with around here. You got
guys like Bill Goldberg, Vader and Triple H who'll sneak attack you in
the dressing rooms and not think twice about it. Whatever happened to rules
and regulations? These hyenas almost ended my career and there was not
one fine or suspension was handed out. And you know what the worst part
is? That you people cheered it. That even though he's a snake and a coward,
you people still buy Triple H's merchandise. That even though he's an untalented
moron, you people cheer Goldberg. You all need to wake up and start cheering
real heroes like myself. A man who'll never take a shortcut, bend a rule
or sneak an opponent. A man who is the best there ever is, the best there
ever was, and the best there ever will be. And when I'm done beating Goldberg
to within an inch of his life and winning this tournament, maybe you people
will come to your senses and cheer me for the old school hero that I am."
Goldberg came out with a mic and addressed the Hitman. "Bret, I think I
speak for each and everyone of these people when I say Shut Your Whining.
We are all sick of you being so high and mighty. So, stop your little bitch
session, get down off your soap box, and get ready to get your ass kicked
because you're next!" Goldberg tossed his mic aside and rushed the ring.
Hart took advantage of this and dropped an elbow on Da Man as he slid underneath
the ropes. Hart continued the attack by putting the boots to Goldberg's
bald dome and locking him in a variation of the Rings of Saturn. Goldberg
got a rush of adrenaline and stood up with Hart still applying the move.
Goldberg rammed Hart into the turnbuckle repeatedly, until the Hitman relinquished
the hold. Goldberg whipped the Hitman into the ropes and nailed him with
a standing side kick to the head. Hart went down clutching his head. Fearing
that Hart had suffered a concussion, the ref backed Goldberg off. As Goldberg
turned his back, Hart stood up and rolled him into a small package. He
was faking the injury. Now that's old school. Unfortunately, it only pissed
Goldberg off as he kicked out at one. Hart irish-whipped Goldberg into
a corner and started punching him. Goldberg shook off the Hitman's punches
and clotheslined him to the mat. As the Hitman staggered to his feet, Goldberg
speared him. Da Man then laid Hart out with a jackhammer and pinned him
to advance in the tournament. Goldberg went outside and, to the cheers
of the rabid crowd, laid a table in the ring. He hoisted Hart up for a
jackhammer through the table, but was superkicked in the face by Old School
Hero himself, Steve Corino. Corino and Hart combined to suplex Goldberg
through the table and left Da Man laying in the ring. winner-Goldberg

The Pump Masters-Gusberg and Scott Steiner
Jeff Jarrett and Shane Douglas
Steiner demanded this match after Jarrett and Douglas destroyed his
prized Pump Mobile Hummer last week. Before the match, we saw Jarrett and
Douglas talking to HWF owner, Matt Johnson in the cWo locker room. "Listen
Johnson, me and the Franchise don't have any beef with you or the cWo.
That's why we're targeting the tag-team titles. We saw that you don't have
any of your boys going after those belts so we decided to take them ourselves.
We respect the cWo and if we win the belts down the line, any tag-team
you put together will have a shot at them. We know you hate those slap-ass
Outsiders and we know you hate that steroid slapnuts Steiner and his milkdud
head partner Gusberg, who let's not forget, betrayed your cWo. So make
our match tonight a #1 contenders match for the tag-team belts and as soon
as we're done with those punks out there, we'll take out the Outsiders
at the pay-per view." Johnson thought it over for a few minutes and replied,
"Alright guys, you got it. The cWo is too busy with Jericho and trying
to find out who's screwing with us to handle the tag-team scene, so you
guys got your match tonight. And this goes out to whoever is attacking
the cWo from behind, we will find you and all of the stuff you've done
to us will seem like a Marv Albert lovebite compared to what we have in
store for you." With that, Jarrett and Douglas left the locker room and
went to the ring to await The Pump Masters. Steiner's trademark siren went
off and the Pump Masters came out brandishing lead pipes. They made their
way down the aisle, but Matt Johnson ran out of the locker room and ordered
them to put down the pipes. As the Pump Masters argued with Johnson, Jarrett
and Douglas jumped them from behind on the ramp. Johnson grabbed their
lead pipes and took them to the back. Jarrett pounded Steiner with some
heavy punches to the skull and body slammed him on the metal ramp, while
the Franchise ran Gusberg's head into the ring post, busting him open.
The sight of his own blood enraged Gusberg and he quickly took over on
the Franchise. Gusberg kneed Douglas in the gut and press-slammed him from
the floor into the ring. The Chosen One whipped Steiner into the guardrail
and tried to follow it up with a clothesline, but was back dropped into
the crowd. Steiner slammed a chair across Jarrett's back and had him screaming
like one of his hoochies. Back in the ring, Gusberg put Douglas on the
top-rope and samoan-dropped him to the mat. He went for the cover, but
only got a two count. He whipped the Franchise into the ropes and speared
him to the mat. Steiner continued pounding on Jarrett on the outside and
T-Bone Suplexed him on the concrete before tossing him inside the ring.
Gusberg had Douglas set up for a Gushammer, but was hit in the groin by
the Franchise. Steiner saw this and grabbed Shane and belly-to-belly suplexed
him to the mat. Big Poppa Pump whipped Douglas to the ropes and frankensteinered
him to the mat. Jarrett nailed Gusberg with his Acoustic Equilizer and
tried to ram the pieces into Steiner's throat, but was steinerlined over
the top-rope. Steiner went for the pin on Douglas, who was still out from
the frankensteiner, only to be pulled off by a returning Sid Vicious. Vicious
yanked Steiner to the outside and chokeslammed him to the concrete. He
tossed Poppa Pump back into the ring and put Jarrett on top of him for
the pin. After Steiner woke up, he went beserk and started tossing monitors
everywhere. He screamed that he and Gusberg were sick of outside interference
costing them matches. Gusberg finally calmed him down and whispered something
in his ear. Steiner started smiling and they walked to the back. What did
Gusberg say? winners and #1 contenders for the tag-team titles-Shane Douglas

U.S. Title Tournament-First Round
vs.
Shawn Michaels
Justin Credible HBK had these comments before the match. "It looks like one more
upstart is here to try and notch their gun with HBK's name. Well, Justin
it ain't gonna happen tonight. Shawn Michaels has seen em come and seen
em go and you Justin, are gonna be one of the ones to go. Me and Clique
made you and tonight, I'm gonna break you. So say your annoying catch-phrase
while you can because after I hit you with the Sweet Chin Music, you won't
have any teeth and the U.S. title is coming back to the Outsiders. Then
you'll just be one more notch on HBK's boot and after I'm done with you,
I might just notch my bed post with your momma's name." Michaels and Justin
met in the center of the ring and Credible started trash-talking HBK. Justin
took a swing at Michael's head with his Singapore Cane, but HBK ducked
it and hit Justin with some stinging left-jabs. He threw Justin into the
ropes and rocked him with a flying forearm to the skull. Justin crashed
to the mat and managed to grab his cane, while Michaels did his trademark
nip-up and showboated for the crowd. As HBK turned around, Credible hit
him across the chest with the Singapore Cane. Credible threw HBK into the
corner and clotheslined him. Justin got on the top rope and hit Michaels
with a top-rope clothesline. Justin went for the pin, but could only get
a two count. Borrowing a move from his some-time partner, the Sandman,
Justin wrapped the Singapore Cane around Michaels' neck and Russian-Legsweept
him to the mat for another two count. Justin waved to the back for the
Sandman to come out, but he didn't. Justin again motioned to the back,
but again, no Sandman. The ManlyTron came up and we saw the Sandman laid
out among the remnants of a broken table and Hall and Nash standing over
him. Hall shouted, "Hey yo, me and Sandman had some beers and apparently
he can't handle his liquor as well as Da Bad Guy. Hey, Sandman, when you
wake up, you might want to stick to some wine coolers or something, because
you can't hang with the Outsiders, chico. Don't worry Justin, we got his
car keys. Hey kids, don't drink and drive, you might spill your beer."
Nash chimed in, "Hey Justin, if you don't like what we did to your friend
here, well we can talk about down there." "Down where?" Hall asked. Nash
pointed to his crotch and yelled, "Down here! Ha, ha, ha. That one never
get's old." As Justin looked up at the screen, Michaels charged at him.
Credible saw it coming out of the corner of his eye and tossed HBK over
the top-rope. Justin turned his back to get his Singapore Cane and didn't
notice that Michaels had held on to the top-rope and pulled himself back
into the ring. As Credible turned around, Michaels gave him some Sweet
Chin Music and covered him for the three count to advance in the U.S. Title
tournament. As Michaels left the ring, Credible struggled to his feet and
shouted, "It's not over. I'll make your life a living hell." HBK just gave
him the finger and left. winner-Shawn Michaels We then saw into the cWo locker room where Matt Johnson addressed
the cWo. "Tonight is the night we get the dirty son of a bitch that's been
messing with the cWo. I know you all are wondering who it is, so I'm not
going to waste anytime telling you who has been locking us in our dressing
room and attacking us at every turn. It's Triple H. That banana nosed bastard
has tried to make our lives a living hell ever since Summer Massacre when
he slammed that door on my head. Well, tonight let's give him a little
dose of hell. The Outsiders are all in their dressing room, so I'm going
to arrange for Triple H to come outside and then we'll just beat the living
hell out of him." Johnson huddled around Sabu and RVD as the cameras left
the locker room.
vs.
Steve Austin
Raven As Austin waited in the ring on Raven, we saw Raven on the ManlyTron
walking down the hall from the cWo locker room. All of a sudden,
he was nailed in the back of the head with a steel chair. As the former
HWF champ struggled to his feet, he was again hit in the head with a steel
chair, this time busting him wide open. The cWo heard the commotion and
came rushing out of the locker room, but Raven's attacker was long gone.
Johnson tried to tell a bloody Raven that he would put the match off, but
Raven pushed him away and went down to face Austin. Austin rushed up the
ramp and started trading fists with Raven. Raven held his own for a while,
but Austin eventually took over. He battered the cWo member back to the
ring and clotheslined him over the guardrail into the crowd. Stone Cold
followed Raven into the people and continued punishing him with right hands
to the face. Austin grabbed a beer from a fan, drank half of it and sprayed
it in Raven's eyes. Austin threw Raven into the concession stand and rammed
his head repeatedly on the counter. Raven finally got some offense in when
he double-axehandled the Rattlesnake when he turned to drink another beer.
Raven, who was losing blood by the pint from his massive head wound, nailed
Stone Cold with some rights and lefts as the two fought towards the steel
guardrail. Raven reversed an attempted irish-whip by Austin, but was backdropped
over the rail to the concrete when he tried to rush Austin. Austin threw
Raven into the ring and stomped a mudhole in him in the corner. Austin
whipped Raven into the ropes and dropped him with a spine buster. Instead
of going for the pin, Austin went outside and grabbed a steel chair. He
put the seat of the chair around Raven's bloody head and went up to the
top rope. Austin tried to come off the top rope with an elbow onto the
chair, but Raven moved and Austin hit the steel. Raven quickly got to his
feet and planted Austin with an evenflow ddt, but was unable to make the
cover right away. Both men lay on the mat for about 15 seconds before,
Raven finally crawled over and draped an arm over Austin, but only got
a two count. Raven got up and irish whipped Austin into the ropes and went
for a clothesline. Stone Cold ducked under Raven's arm, booted him in the
gut and dropped him with a Stone Cold Stunner. He hooked Raven's leg and
got the 1-2-3. After the match, Austin tied Raven's ankle in a steel chair,
a la the Brian Pillman incident, and stomped it. He went to stomp the chair
again, but cWo members, RVD and Sabu came out and started beating him down.
Sabu placed Austin in a camel clutch while RVD hit a dropkick right into
Stone Cold's face. They then helped Raven back to the locker room. winner-Steve
Austin The cameras then went into the Outsiders 2000 locker room where
Hall, Nash, Michaels, Vincent and Triple H were all getting ready to go
out on the town after the card was over. There was a knock on the door
and Triple H opened the door to find cWo member, Erik "The Even Badder
Guy" Bushey standing on the other side swilling a Budweiser. "What the
hell do you want punk," Triple H angrily asked. "Get out of here before
I take that bottle and shove it up your ass and whenever they film those
commercials, they won't just say, Wassup anymore, they'll say, Wassup that
guy's ass!" Bushey didn't say a word, but just kept drinking his beer.
Triple H grabbed him by the collar and Erik spit the beer in Triple H's
eyes and ran. Enraged, Helmsley took off after Bushey. The other Outsiders
got up to follow, but Bob "The Razor Studd" Weber, slammed the locker room
door shut and he and Matt Johnson chained the door shut. Bushey led Helmsley
into the parking lot, where he was jumped by Sabu, Van Dam, Jeff Hardy
and the rest of the cWo. They all pounded on the Game unmercifully as Matt
Johnson pulled his rental car around. Sabu slammed HHH onto the car hood
as Jeff Hardy brought a ladder around and placed it next to the car. Hardy
climbed the ladder and came down with a devastating Swanton Bomb onto Helmsley's
ribs. Van Dam and Sabu then combined to slam Triple H's head into the windshield
numerous times, until he was a bloody mess. Johnson stood over a bloody
Helmsley and slapped him repeatedly, adding insult to injury. Van Dam and
Hardy held Triple H up while Johnson punched Triple H in his injured ribs.
The cWo left a bloody and battered, Helmsley in the parking lot. Johnson
stood over Helmsley and said, "Game Over" and spit on him. The cWo went
to get back into the building, but Johnson discovered that the doors were
all locked. We then cut back to the cWo locker room, were Cactus Jack was
getting ready for his title shot against Chris Jericho. As Cactus went
to open the door, he was hit in the head with a lead pipe and knocked unconcious.
EMT's rushed in to revive Cactus for his title shot against Jericho.
HWF World Title vs.
HWF World Champion-Chris Jericho
Cactus Jack Jericho had these comments before the match. "So it seems that little
Matthew Johnson is trying to figure out who is screwing with the cWo. Well
junior, what goes around comes around and it seems that karma is coming
around right up your ass. You and the cWo have been screwing with people
for so long, now it's your turn. And as much as I'd love to be the one
to take credit for doing it, Y2J has nothing to do with the beatings that
have been handed out to the cWo. Now for you Cactus Mack. Everyweek you
come out here and whine about not being accepted by the fans. Well, my
millions of Jericholics will never accept me losing this belt to you, so
that won't happen, but I hope you accept the Y2J beating that you're going
to get tonight from the Ayatollah of Rock and Rollah." With that, Jericho
went to the to wait on Cactus Jack. After a long delay, Cactus staggered
to the ring, obviously still feeling the effects of the lead pipe he took
to the skull. The World Champion didn't wait for his challenger to get
in the ring as Jericho got a running start and rocked Foley with a plancha.
Jericho pounded Cactus with fists to the skull and rammed him into the
steel guardrail. He whipped Cactus towards the ring and Jack hit the ring
apron with his back. Jericho charged at Cactus, who tried to backdropping
Jericho into the ring, but instead of flipping into the ring, Jericho ricocheted
off the ropes, and ddt'ed Jack on the concrete. Y2J tossed Cactus back
inside and got a two count. Jericho slammed Cactus on the mat and tried
his Lionsault, but met Cactus' knees. Jack threw Y2J into a corner and
beat him down with some forearms to the head. Jack then got a running start
and rammed his knees right into Jericho's face. Jack threw Jericho to the
outside and hit him with his famous Cactus Jack elbow from the ring apron.
Both men lay on the ground and Cactus finally got up and threw Jericho
back in. He covered the champ but only got a 2 count. Cactus tied Jericho
up in the ropes and got a steel chair. Foley charged at Jericho, who kicked
the chair right into Cactus' face. That blow combined with the lead pipe
shot was enough to knock Cactus out. Jericho hit the Lionsault and got
the pin. winner-Chris Jericho
