Last night, Steve Austin successfully defended his HWF World Title by defeating Rob Van Dam. Tonight, The Rattlesnake will shed some light on the strange circumstances surrounding his title win. Raven came back, destroyed Mikey Whipwreck and joined the cWo. Mikey retained his title via countout, but is too injured to defend the belt, so Matt Johnson has ordered an 8 man tournament to fill the vacant belt. Johnson has also stated that there will be a restructuring within the cWo to make it better than ever. Also, The Outsiders will defend the tag titles against the #1 contenders, The Pump Masters. The champs will have Trish Stratus in their corner as they take on the challengers. Cactus Jack will take on Tajirri in a steel cage match to determine who will gain entry into the cWo. Ric Flair will put his newly won T.V. title up against the former champ, Shawn Michaels. Last night, Matt Hardy won a ladder match to put his brother, Jeff out of the HWF, but after the match, the two reconciled. Johnson has granted Matt a match tonight against Sabu and if Matt wins, Jeff is back in the HWF. Also, Johnson has promised a surprise for Bret Hart in retaliation for putting him in the Sharpshooter two weeks ago.

interview-HWF Champion Steve Austin

Austin came to the ring and took a microphone. "Lots of people want to know why I faked that neck injury last night. They're asking me, 'Steve, did you have to do it to get the job done against Rob Van Dam?' To that I say, Oh hell no. I just wanted to prove that I'm smarter than that slimy bastard, Matt Johnson will ever be. You see, he looks at me and sees a beer swilling, bald-headed, redneck from South Texas and says to himself, in his little whiny snake's voice, 'He can't be that smart. Me and my little cWo will run circles around him.' Last night, I showed him that I can beat anybody he throws against me and that I can outsmart his little ass at the same time. Another question that seems to be burning everybody's mind is, was Chris Jericho in on it? To that I say, Oh hell yeah. It just goes to show you that D.T.A. Don't trust anybody. So, Johnson, you throw anybody you want to up against me and I'll open up a can of whoop ass on them, and that's the bottom line because..." Before Austin could finish, Chris Jericho's millenium clock came on and his music hit. Y2J came down to ringside and took a mic. "Austin, I helped you out last night, but I sure as hell didn't do it for free. You see, I knew that if I stayed in the cWo, I would only be a pawn in Matt Johnson's games and that I could never control my own destiny. So, I helped you out last night against Rob Van Dam. I never liked him much anyway. Here's my price, you put that HWF title up against me tonight in exchange for me helping you last night. I'll sweeten the deal by throwing in, free of charge might I add, a Y2J beating that you will never, ehhhhhver forget again." Austin replied, "Hell son, we ain't got to wait until later tonight, let's do it right now jackass." Before the two could come to blows, Matt Johnson made his way to ringside. Johnson addressed both wrestlers. "Before you two dumbasses beat the hell out of each other, I want to tell you this. While I can't stop this match from taking place because the champion does have certain rights and priviledges as far as picking his challengers, I want you to know that whoever wins this match will have to face the newest member of the cWo, Raven at the next HWF pay-per view in 4 weeks, entitled, Beatdowns, Punkings and Asskickings II. So, whoever wins tonight better just get his affairs in order and notify his next of kin because Raven is going to..." Johnson was cut of by a Jericho spring-board dropkick to the face. Y2J threw Johnson into the ring and as the cWo leader struggled to his feet, he was met by a Stone Cold Stunner from the champ. Austin and Jericho stared each other down, before going back to the locker room.

Bret the Hitman Hart was shown in his locker room getting ready for his surprise. As he went to go out the door, Vader shoved the door into the Hitman's face. Vader rammed Hart's face into the locker repeatedly, opening him up. The Mastadon slammed Bret onto the concrete floor and stomped him mercilessly. He picked up the former cWo member for a powerbomb, but was stopped by a steel chair across the back by Goldberg. Goldberg went to help Bret up, but he was nailed by a chair by Triple H, whom he had brutalized at the pay-per view. Helmsley spat on Goldberg and left him laying in the locker room.
Tag-Team Title Match

vs.

champions-The Outsiders with Trish Stratus                                                      The Pump Masters
The challengers came out first and Poppa Pump took the microphone. "Last night, The Pump Masters showed the world that nobody tells us what to do and what happens to people who try and order us around. Matt Johnson tried to book us in some meaningless tag-team match against Jeff Jarrett and Shane Douglas, so we booked our own match, a lead-pipe locker room match. Jarrett and Douglas, nothing personal against you two, it was just the wrong place and the wrong time. As for you Outsiders, you have something that belongs to us and that's our belts. Tonight, we are going to take back our property and Nash, if your little blond bimbo, gets in the way, I'll take her little peroxide head, put it in between the largest arms in the world and pop it like a pimple. After we win our belts back, me and Gusberg are going to get some hoochies and take them out in my new Hummer, the Pump Mobile. Then they will get to know the sexual nirvana that is being with Scott Steiner, holla if you hear me." Hall and Nash came out with their new valet, Trish Stratus. Trish went over and got in the face of Big Poppa Pump. Steiner, who will never be known as a champion of women's rights, grabbed Trish by her hair and looked like he was going to make good on his threat to pop her head, but Nash caught him with a big boot to the face. Hall went after Gusberg, who ducked his clothesline and kneed him in the back. Gusberg followed up with a backbreaker and placed Hall in a torture rack. Before Hall could give up, Nash raked Gusberg in the eyes. Big Sexy went for a powerbomb, but Steiner clubbed him across the back with a tag-team belt. Steiner used a butterfly-powerbomb to drop Nash, then he went after Hall, who hit him low. Hall went to the middle-rope and as Steiner got to his feet, nailed him with a beautiful flying bulldog. Da Bad Guy covered Hall for the pin, but could only get a two-count. He put Steiner in postion for the Outsider's Edge, but was backdropped out of the ring. As Hall fell to the concrete, he hit his head on the safety guardrail and was knocked out. Trish went over to try and revive him. Back in the ring, The Pump Masters went for their double-spear, but Nash leapfrogged them. Trish tripped Steiner up as he came off the ropes and Big Sexy chokeslammed Gusberg to the mat. He went for the pin, but Steiner pulled him off of Gusberg. Big Poppa Pump grabbed Nash and belly-to-belly suplexed him to the mat. He slapped on the Steiner Recliner and it looked like Nash was going to tap out, when the ManlyTron came on, showing Jeff Jarrett and the Franchise in the parking lot with lead pipes and standing on top of Steiner's Pump Mobile. Jarrett had a mic and he spoke to to a bewildered Steiner. "Hey, Steroid Slapnuts. You want to think twice before you mess with the Chosen One and the Franchise. Since you two jacked-up slap-asses want to play with pipes, fine, we'll play with pipes." With that, Jarrett and the Franchise started smashing up the Pump Mobile with the lead pipes. The Franchise then yelled, "Hey Trish, you little ungrateful bitch. You want to leave us for two losers like the Outsiders? Well, that's okay with us. The Franchise and the Chosen One don't need your skank ass anyway. We brought you to the HWF, we made you, and guess what honey, we'll franchise your sweet little ass and those two jabronies as well." Jarrett took out a hunting knife and slashed the Pump Mobile's tires and shouted, "Now all four of you slapnuts can choke on that." Steiner was livid and took off down the aisle with a steel chair in hand, leaving a confused Gusberg standing in the ring. As Gusberg turned around, he was met by a slap in the face from Trish Stratus. Gusberg grabbed her by the hair, but hesitated to hit her. Trish took the opportunity to kick him in the groin. A revived Hall came in the ring and rocked him with an Outsider's Edge. Hall made the pin to retain the titles for the Outsiders. winners-The Outsiders

vs.

Matt "The Serial Thriller" Hardy                 Sabu
Matt Hardy demanded this match after reconciling with his brother, Jeff ,whom he ran out of the HWF last night. So, Matt Johnson forced him to take on Sabu and if Matt wins, Jeff is back in the HWF. If Jeff interferes on Matt's, then they will both be out of the HWF. The Serial Thriller started out fast by nailing Sabu with a corkscrew moonsault as the cWo madman came down the aisle. Matt pounded Sabu with rights and lefts and rammed Sabu's face into the steel guardrail. Matt went for a suplex on the floor, but Sabu reversed it and Matt tasted the concrete. The madman from India set Jeff up on the guardrail and preformed his infamous Air Sabu leap on him. Sabu threw the Serial Thriller over the guardrail and got into the ring. He set up a chair next to the ropes, got a running start and leaped into the crowd at Matt. Hardy held up a steel chair in defense and Sabu went head first into it. Matt pounded on Sabu with the chair and slammed him on the concrete. He rolled Sabu into the ring and covered him but could only get a two count. Jeff Hardy made his way to ringside to cheer on his brother. Matt went for the Twist of Fate, but Sabu pushed him into the referee. Sabu superkicked Matt in the face and nailed his Triple Jump Moonsault. Sabu covered Matt, but there was no referee to make the pin. Jeff got a steel folding chair and snuck into the ring. He waited for both men to get to their feet. Jeff went to hit Sabu, but Matt yelled, "What the hell are you doing? You'll get us both kicked out!" Jeff spun around and whacked his brother with the chair, busting him wide open. He gave the chair to Sabu who nailed the Serial Thriller with an Arabian Facebuster. Jeff revived the referee who counted the pin. What was Jeff thinking? He had just cost himself a spot in the HWF! Or so we thought. Jeff ripped off his purple Hardy Boyz shirt to reveal the black and white of the cWo. He reached into this back pocket and pulled out a new HWF contract with Matt Johnson's signature on it. Jeff took out a pin and dipped it in his brother's blood and signed his name on the contract. Jeff left the ring with Sabu and went back to the cWo locker room. winner-Sabu

Cage Match
vs. 3

                                                                        Cactus Jack                                                Tajiri
Whoever escapes the cage first wins the match and entry into the prestigious cWo. Cactus Jack had these comments backstage. "Tajiri, I know that I brought you here to the HWF and that we're friends outside of the ring, but I've got to beat you to within an inch of your life. You see, tonight, I'm not just battling to gain a place of honor within the most prestigious group in the wrestling world. No, I'm battling for the one thing that Cactus Jack has never had...acceptance. No matter how many tables I went through, no matter how many cages I hurled myself off, no matter how many chairshots I took, you people still cheered the flavor of the week. The good looking super hero or the flashy move of the week. The Rock, Goldberg, Triple H, and those two idiotic abortions of moves, the People's Elbow and the Worm. Well, Mrs. Foley's baby boy is tired of pandering to the unwashed masses of fans who chant, "We want puppies" when two men are giving their blood and sweat to entertain them. I'm tired of pandering to the interent peons who think a match is good only if it includes 18 Canadian Pretty Boys and 20,000 chops. I've finally found my chance at salvation in the form of the C'Ville World Order. And Tajiri, if you think that I will let you stand in the way of my salvation and a reunion with my good friend Raven, who has finally seen the light, well, to borrow a phrase from Roddy Piper, you're 13 different kinds of wrong. You think a few stiff kicks to the head is going to stop me? Many have tried, but none have been able to spoil the rugged, matinee-idol good looks that I posses. You think that you're going to put me in some fancy submission holds? Well, I got news for you, I don't know how to get out of a damn one of them, but nothing is going to stop me tonight because I've got fire in the belly and more than enough testicular fortitude to make up for my lack of technical mat wrestling proficiency and my fine cardiovascular fitness will more than compensate for my having only one ear. So let's have a good clean scientific match and have a Nice Day!" Cactus entered the cage first and waited on the Japanese Buzzsaw. When Tajiri tried to enter the cage, Foley slammed the door
him. Tajiri again tried to enter the cage and again, Foley slammed the door on him. Foley went to slam the door on Tajiri a third time, but was met by a spew of Red Mist to the face. Tajiri finally entered the cage, the ref shut the door and the bell rang.  Tajiri grabbed Foley by his hair and rammed him into the cage repeatedly. He slammed Cactus to the mat and went to the top-rope for a 450 splash, but Jack rolled out of the way and Tajiri crashed to the mat. Foley went to scramble out the door, but Tajiri grabbed his foot. Jack kicked at Tajiri repeatedly, but the Japanese Buzzsaw would not let go.  He pulled Cactus back into the ring and clamped on a figure-four leglock that had Mrs. Foley's baby boy screaming in pain. Tajiri set Cactus up in the corner in the Tree of Woe, then nailed him in the face with a baseball slide. He went to set Cactus up for his brainbuster, but Jack was too heavy. He tried to pick Cactus up again, but Cactus raked Tajiri's eyes and ddt'ed him. Jack hoisted Tajiri up in a suplex position, but instead of dropping him to the mat, he smashed Tajiri's back repeatedly against the steel cage. Jack then left Tajiri hanging from the top of the cage and limped towards the door. Tajiri freed himself and caught Jack right before he made it out the door. He clamped a dragon-sleeper on Cactus. Tajiri held the move on Jack until Foley went limp. Tajiri went to go out the door, but Raven came through the crowd and entered the cage. Raven evenflowed Tajiri. Cactus Jack got up and crawled out the door to win the match and entry into the cWo. Raven presented Cactus Jack with a cWo shirt after the match. winner-Cactus Jack

Backstage Interview with Raven
Raven was interviewed in the cWo locker room after Cactus Jack's match. "Love and hate, trust and fate, these are the ties that bind us. The reason behind my actions last night at the pay-per view was that after I defeated Matt Johnson at Summer Massacre, I felt empty inside. After the smoke cleared inside the steel cage and I emerged victorious. I had no reason to go on fighting here in the HWF. Ever since I came to the HWF, my dream was to rid it of Matt Johnson's controlling influence and by leaving him bloodied and battered inside that cage, I achieved that aim. After the match, instead of joy, I felt nothing. That's one of the reasons Vader was able to put me in the hospital for four weeks. I had no goal, no drive. I had become complacent and content to listen to the cheers of the masses. You people made the mistake of thinking that I battled Johnson and his cWo for you when I was doing it for myself. And as I lay in that hospital bed, with my broken ribs, Matt Johnson contacted me and helped me to realize the main reason I was sitting in a hospital bed instead of in the ring wreaking havoc and that reason was the fans. Instead of going after the HWF title, I let the fans goad me into sidetracking that goal and getting involved in petty personal vendettas against Johnson and Cactus Jack, who really had my best interests at heart. I didn't want to hear what he was saying at first, but Matt Johnson has motivated me to once again become the HWF champion. When I was in ECW, I was the champion there for almost two years because I would do anything to myself and to my opponents to win. While it is true that I was the champion here in the HWF, my reigns were short because I catered to the whims of the fans. Matt Johnson has offered me a chance at redemption, a chance to regain my former glory. The chance to reclaim my HWF title that Steve Austin has been walking around with for the last few months. So, Austin, Jericho, whichever one of you walks out with the title tonight, don't get too comfortable with the belt because at the pay-per view you will come face to face with your destiny and that is to meet me in the ring, feel the Evenflow and feel your shoulders on the mat for the 1-2-3. Quote the Raven, 'Nevermore'." After that, Raven left the cWo locker room, while the other members stayed behind.

T.V. Title Match
vs.

                                                                       champion-Ric Flair                             Shawn Michaels
Since Flair never pinned Michaels last night for the belt, HBK was granted an immediate rematch. Both men came down without their respective factions and started trash-talking each other. Flair started out by dishing out some of his patented chops to Michaels and backing him into the corner with some rights and lefts. He went to irish-whip the Boy Toy into the other corner, but Michaels reversed it and Flair went over the turnbuckle and to the floor. As he got to his feet, HBK vaulted over the top-rope and nailed the Nature Boy with a plancha. Shawn tried to ram Flair's head into the ringpost, but was hit by a fist to the gut and Flair sent him into the post, shoulder-first. Flair took Michaels and rammed him into the ring-steps shoulder first and rolled him back into the ring. The Nature Boy drove his knee repeatedly into HBK's shoulder joint. Flair went to the top-rope and scored with a knee-drop to HBK's injured shoulder. He went for the pin but could only get a two count. Flair had Michaels set-up on the top-rope for a superplex, when Justin Credible made his way to ringside. When Flair turned his head to look at Justin, Michaels punched him in the face and shoved him off the top-rope. Michaels Outsider stablemate, Triple H, came down and got in Justin's face. They quickly started brawling and officials came down to break them up. In the confusion, Horseman member, Mike Awesome came through the crowd and hit HBK, who was still perched on the top-rope, in the back with a steel chair. Michaels collapsed to the mat and Flair hooked his tights for the win. winner-Ric Flair

HWF World Heavyweight Title
  vs.

                                                            champion-Steve Austin                                                        Chris Jericho
Jericho came out first and waited on Austin in the ring. The Rattlesnake made sure he didn't have to wait long as the champ hit the ring running and started trading punches with Y2J. Austin got the better of the exchange and threw Jericho into the ropes. Y2J ducked an elbow by Austin, but was rocked by a Thesz Press from Austin and the champ punched him to the canvas. Stone Cold threw Jericho into the turnbuckle and stomped him down to the mat. Austin gave Y2J the double bird and landed a big stomp to his face. Jericho got to his feet slowly and Austin came charging at him. Y2J ducked and Austin went flying into the turnbuckle, face-first. Jericho rocked Austin with some chops in the corner, threw him into the ropes and caught him with a spinning heel kick. Jericho went for the Walls of Jericho, but couldn't turn the champ over, so he settled for slingshotting Austin into the turnbuckle. As Austin staggered out of the corner, Jericho sprang off the ropes and drove Austin's head to the mat with a bulldog. Austin barely kicked out of the pinning attempt. Austin rolled under the bottom rope and tried to shake the cobwebs out on the ring apron. Seeing this, Jericho tried to spring off the middle rope and hit Austin with a dropkick, but Stone Cold moved and Y2J ate canvas. Austin went to the top-rope and drove his elbow into Jericho's sternum. While this was going on, we saw in the cWo locker room that Matt Johnson and the rest of the cWo, minus Raven, were watching the match on a t.v. monitor. "Let's go and get some of this boys," Johnson said. "I said that I couldn't stop this match from taking place, but I never said that I couldn't stop it from having a conclusion." With that Johnson went to open the door of the locker room, but couldn't get it open. We then saw that it was again barricaded shut. Someone had driven a fork lift in front of the cWo locker room yet again. Back in the ring, Jericho fought his way out of an attempted stunner attempt, and shoved Austin into the ropes. He nailed the champ with a flying forearm and flattened him with his Lionsault. Austin managed to get his shoulder up before the 3 count. Jericho went to the top-rope and tried to hit Austin with a double-axehandle but was caught with a boot to the midsection and a Stone Cold Stunner. Austin was too tired to make the cover and both men lay on the mat. Raven made his way to ringside and circled the ring. Austin recovered before Jericho and got to his feet, while Raven got on the ring apron. Austin noticed Raven on the ring apron and went over to him. Jericho saw his opportunity and dropkicked Austin in the back, sending him into Raven. Y2J grabbed Austin and small packaged him for the 3 count to become the new champion. Was it all a cWo plan to get the belt back into the cWo? Raven quickly answered that question when he got into the ring and evenflowed both Jericho and the ex-champion. The show went off the air with Raven standing over both men. winner and new HWF Champion-Chris Jericho
