Second Generation
Ewel Barker was born about 1775 in Virginia. He married 17 Sep 1803 in Nelson Co., KY to Amelia "Milly" STILLWELL, daughter of Obadiah STILLWELL. They removed to Greene Co., IN by 1830 where Ewel was a farmer in Taylor Township. The couple had five children residing with them in 1830. There may have been others who had already married. The known children of Ewel and Milly were:.

Third Generation
Zachariah BARKER was born about 1812 probably in OH. In 1840 he resided next to his father Ewel Barker in Greene Co., IN. He moved to Cooper Twp., McDonald Co., MO by 1850 where he was a farmer. He died after 1860 probably in MO. He married before 1832 to Rhoda COOPER (1815) daughter of Isaac Cooper and Abigail Thornbrough. Zachariah and Rhoda were the parents of twelve children who moved to Oregon and Kansas.

Fourth Generation
Joseph BARKER was born 26 May 1847 in McDonald Co., MO and married in 1870 to Mary SIMMONS (1847-1931), daughter of Richard SIMMONS and Rachel BEEZLEY. They removed by 1880 to Bourbon Co., KS where Joseph died in Pawnee Twp. in 1920. He was survived by his widow who died 1931 in Ft. Scott, KS. They are both buried in the Hiattville Cem., Bourbon Co., KS. Their children included:

(2) Sherman BARKER (1880-1921) m. Genevieve MARRIHEW

Fifth Generation
Baldwin BARKER was born 17 Feb 1875 in Hiattville, KS. He was a farmer residing in Hiattville and Pawnee until his death 9 Nov 1920. He is buried in the Hiattville Cemetery. He married 12 Jan 1895 to Sarah Diantha ANDIS (1866-1928), daughter of Capt. Robert Preston ANDIS and Phebe LOW. Their children were:
(1) Mattie Belle BARKER (1895-1994) m. Jesse Oliver BAILEY (1894-1979)
(2) Zelma Lee BARKER (1898-1983) m. Theodore R. CALLOW
