Cataloging and Classification for Library Technicians
A textbook for a course in a two-year associate degree or certificate program for library technicians.
It interprets and explains the rules and how they should be applied but does not substitute for the
reference tools needed to perform cataloguing.
The Concise AACR2, 4th ed.
"This new fourth edition provides clear, user-friendly need to know guidance for: small libraries
that require standard cataloging but dont need all the details of structure and content of the full text;
beginning students who need to learn about cataloging but do not intend to be catalogers; paraprofessionals
engaged in copy cataloging; international catalogers who prefer a summary of AACR2 practice"

Cataloging Correctly for Kids: An Introduction to the Tools
Now in its fourth edition, Cataloging Correctly for Kids has become a standard introduction to cataloging
children's material. Some chapters assume a familiarity with cataloging practice and show how cataloging
for children differs from standard cataloging. The chapter on copy cataloging is worthwhile for any staff doing
copy cataloging. The Instructional Media Center has a copy for loan.
