An Idaho Commission for Libraries site designed for library staff members who have no formal library education. Topics include collection assessment, materials selection, weeding, MARC cataloging, Dewey classification and reference services. A good introduction for employees new to the library, and also a good resource for solo school librarians who do a little bit of everything.

SABLE -- Idaho's Supplemental Alternative Basic Library Education
http://libraries.idaho.gov/sable
A supplement to the ABLE courses. Topics include programming and services to children and young adults, cataloging music sound recordings, and interlibrary loan.

http://www.olc.org/orientation/
There are acutally three tutorials that can be accessed from this page: Ohio Reference, Staff Orientation, and Library Marketing. The information in these tutorials is probably too basic for experienced library staff, but may be a good starting point for student aides or other volunteers.
