INTRODUCTION:
Ever since the of beginning of the electric guitar over 50 years ago, players have searched for new sounds. Presently, guitarists obtain variations of sounds from effects pedals, rackmount gear, and amplifiers.

Modern guitar amplifiers - some of which use transisters, some of which use tubes - present various problems and issues, such as noise, quality-deterioration, etc. With the digital revolution came the possibility of overcoming the limitations of the amplifier and utilizing effects equipment in new ways.

The man who brought the digital revolution to the guitarists' multiple effects and amplifiers is Robert C. Bradshaw, founder of Custom Audio Electronics (CAE) of North Hollywood, CA.

The guitar sound system which he developed in 1980 allows the guitarist to select the amplifier and the effect with one action, using a switching system. CAE clients include Buzz Feiten, Michael Landau, Steve Lukather, Dean Parks. CAE built sound system for many top musicians such as U2, Slash and Van Halen. Bob Bradshaw to this day wears many hats - from electronics designer to guitar effects technician to the stars.

Bob Bradshaw supported the world tours of such big name acts such as Olivia Newton-John, Joni Mitchell and TOTO. Understanding such on-tour needs as well as in-studio demands of the player, Bradshaw is able to design innovative equipment responding to the needs of the modern player.
