To whom it may concern: Reoccurring staff difficulties at the Salvation Army Shelter and PCU unit, including the improper handling of the residents, are not dealt with properly. There is miscommunication or improper communication between the staff, causing upset and disrupting patterns of function. These difficulties and improper treatments cause job and housing loss along with undue stress, lengthening the trauma recovery period or actually inflicting or causing new trauma. This can be crushing to survivors of awful and heinous crimes. Workers have to be monitored for abusive approaches such as raised voices in inappropriate situations where residents were acting as told. There are many incidents I can detail in the future that were illegal so please look into any improper behavior immediately such as illegal gathering or sharing of information and the improper treatment of residents. These problems extend to other areas of the building such as the dining room where rotten food is sometimes served and the staff was repeatedly abusive and took no blame or made no apology for these offences. There will be charges filed.
Simple adjustments are necessary and could be made inexpensively or at no cost, saving the program money. Please send a notice on letterhead acknowledging reception and inform me of the situation, the steps I should take, and any specifics you require. In the very near future I will need the employees identification or a number with which to refer to them for use with the proper authorities. Note that some of the staff was very helpful but appeared restricted. With Urgency x |
