To Whom It May Concern:

During my unfortunate and brief stay at the Good Shephred shelter on Queen Street West, I was repeatedly and relentlessly pressured and forced to sign government documents a Federal Offence. These were supposed to be legal documents and I was not even permitted to see what had been entered on them or what information they were supposed to or could contain. Upon request of my right to see to this information I was severely mistreated and abused in other ways by two staff members in particular. They threatened me with physical removal though I was polite, posed no threat, and had done nothing wrong. Other problems followed shortly afterwards whilst they falsely accused me and filed illegal documents to cover their improper actions. I informed them partially of their offences, in plain view of witnesses as they tried to blur the event and lie of legalities.

I was served rotten food that made me violently ill and the food staff was also abusive and difficult making it hard to receive proper or safe portions. Personal items of mine were stolen by staff, as staff report, and this is not an unusual occurrence according to them. I can detail the exact occurrences and witnesses are available. It is also important to note that while openly infringing on my personal rights and freedoms they showed a complete and non-recognizance of their improper procedure and legal infractions as being a problem. I explained the basic legalities and these were accepted, however, the illegal activity continued and no conscience or intent to curtail these wrong actions was shown.

The activity did indeed continue and I witnessed several other altercations having to do with the other residents that should not have occurred. In the handling of residents there was an attempt to impose dept or to hold a higher illegal stature or power over them, causing undue stress and loss of personal rights and freedoms such as that to incur no forced harm. While crippling upward mobility, and in my case causing physical injury, a false and illegal power structure was imposed, in total disregard of Canadian law, while incomplete, illegal, and false paperwork was repeatedly filed as witnessed by myself and reported by both the staff and residents.

Staff repeatedly addressed me in a loud and rash fashion inferring I had caused some sort of difficulty. At times they were very aggressive, stated they were acting properly, and instead of apologizing when offered and ceasing, they continued this behavior on other occasions limiting or ceasing their infractions only when I notified them of the possible ramifications with an air of certainty and experience. Otherwise the abusive and unnecessary handling of people or matters continued causing tension and unrest throughout shelter while they maintained their illegal activity. This treatment continued and is reportedly regular at the shelter.

Please suspend these employees immediately and further investigate these happenings. I also require a response on letterhead informing me of reception, and detailing information that you require. In the future I will need numbers to refer to these individuals to help me inform the proper legal authorities as best I can.
