YMCA Upper Management

The intrusive and abusive behavior of the staff at the YMCA House on Queen Street West, and the appalling unsanitary conditions which are continually brought to the attention of employees and management, and left unchanged, is not isolated but a common and daily occurrence and needs to be addressed. There has been blood left caked on the bathroom stall, along with other dangerous and offensive material, including other bodily fluids and feces, for months at a time. The caked material has at times exceeded a centimeter in thickness on the floor, where it is left to accumulate, and it is left to run down the walls when splashed over as if cleaned. The faucets and doors are constantly grimy, oily and sticky as are the tables and chairs as well as the beds and lockers. Parasites spread throughout the shared and common space frequently along with other dangerous infections.

Refugees and victims of horrible crimes are mistreated repeatedly and victimized by the staff who hand out punishments, corresponding with attempts to report these incidents, or refusal to forget, lie, or remain silent about them. For attempting to show others what the truth of the matter is and where the problem originated, people are punished openly while false paperwork and witness disrupt their lives. Conversations that took place are ignored and the truth stepped over in the open while the staff lies in an attempt to cover what they have done.

In a threatening manner, staff members attempt to hold illegal authority, displaying power no one has a right to while essentially showing how they get away with these crimes and make peoples lives very difficult if they attempt to have anything done about it. This causes severe and improper disruption to innocent peoples lives, that have done nothing wrong, and have only tried to stand up for themselves, be honest, point out a problem or request something within their rights.

This results in job loss, medical incidents, loss of residence, missed appointments, missed sleep, and a battered self and public image of the residents. I'm sure many have suffered much worse a fate upon being forced into the street in the dark cold of winter, by no just cause, and with no recognition of the crimes against them, as they are stared in the face by those who had commit them.

After seriously interrupting negatively and criminally peoples fully scheduled days, apartment searches and personal maters of great importance, disrupting jobs from being secured, they hurt people further who are asking for a towel. Not only is it illegal not to supply a towel with the unsanitary conditions of the "shelter" making it dangerous to use the one given, but they would have a clean one if not for the employees other legal infractions. After catching them in the act of abusing and mistreating they act as if a victory has been won when able to abusively punish further, causing more suffering, for something that would not have occurred had the house been running within legal limits and the staff had acted appropriately. This shows gross mismanagement and improper staffing.

If the staff at the YMCA house had to abide by their own policy most of them would be barred permanently, save particular staff who are milder in character though they need training. Some of their infractions can be attributed to false paperwork and statements by other employees admittedly, though they still carry out consequences as though they had not witnessed activity that had taken place in front of them. It appears there is a criminal hierarchy. I can see no reason that they are permitted to work there. I don't think they should be in the neighborhood and I am seeking restraining orders to see to my privacy and to make sure I have no further contact with those individuals. Especially forced contact, which during being threatened without reason or just cause you are forced to give details of your private life and traumatic experiences including rape and torture. This at the hands of people who are treating you no better than those who commit those crimes and who say without that information you will have to leave.

Employers and possible landlords or roommates are complaining about attitudes and other strange occurrences during the taking of messages, which are sometimes not received, (disturbing more lives than the residents alone) and there is word around town of severe breach of confidence (there are actually professionals who will testify to this and many other crimes of the present staff). Policy not adhered to in the most important areas and then people are yelled at as if they were the problem in part because they didn't keep quiet and much do to their non abidance with the imposed illegal rule.

E-mails sent carrying private and important information about people other than the residents, without their permission or the other parties, in a pressure situation with matters of great importance hanging in the balance and the most dramatic suffering most imagine following and due to this type of crime. Years and lives destroyed or lost. Victims harmed, abused and pushed further so they have even less if any strength left to stop those that have raped them or worse, having been so further scarred and crippled. The vicious cycle of abuse repeating again and again where those who escape the crime and violence find themselves surrounded by it once more where they are supposed to receive shelter.

The staff employees connect with others spreading false information throughout the shelter system which is illegal and a very serious crime. Rest assured there is more improper treatment at the hands of others where the resident is sent, much due to the falsities spread by YMCA staff that interfere with those who are trying to do their work properly.

These only touch upon the daily, weekly, monthly and yearly occurrences. It is easy to see that the cost to society is immense, with the amount of crime that continues, as the victims are crippled so they cannot see to its end. This repeats, and the victims whose progress is stopped or who suffer further at the hands of staff or as a result of their actions are out in the cold. Every hand touched touches hundreds more so this problem spreads in many directions.

There are charges being filed, solid records exist of these crimes that show context, the origination and further, witnesses exist in professional fields to testify to these and other incidents. In light of these awful acts against those in disadvantaged situations, by people who repeatedly abuse positions of power after repeated warnings and notification of the law, and who refuse to apologize and accept responsibility for, or stop the criminal and obviously improper behavior, I demand the emendate full suspension of the staff pending the outcome of criminal proceedings where I suspect they will be frozen indefinitely from any work that may place them in a position to have power or authority over another.

Again, there are solid and admissible records of these crimes and there is no use in denying their occurrence. For the safety and proper care of anyone who has been disadvantaged or who needs a safe, normal, stable and legal environment it is not ethical and would be without conscience to leave the staff of the YMCA House on Queen St. W. in those positions. Also, there are multiple complainants and multiple complaints being suppressed daily and this should not continue and certainly will not, when it comes before the open eyes of the law.

With Urgence
