Cub Scout Pack
ABOUT PACK 458
Pack 458 has been chartered by the Park  Ridge Elementary School PTO since September 1990. The Pack is in the Aquia  District which in turn is part of the National Capital Area Council. The Pack  has earned the Quality Unit Award many times, including 2003. In order to  be named a Quality Unit , a Pack or Troop must meet certain annual objectives,  including being rechartered on time, and having all of its leadership  trained.
The Pack usually meets the third Thursday  of the month during the school year in the Park Ridge Elementary School  cafeteria at 7:00 p. m. In addition to the monthly Pack meetings, Pack 458 Cub Scouts  participate in a variety of Pack and District sponsored events. The  Trail's End Popcorn sales, the District Night Hike, Scouting for Food, the  Pinewood Derby, the Ten Commandments Hike, the Blue Gold Banquet, and the  District Day Camp are just some of these activities.
The Cub Scout Pack program's success is  dependant upon the involvement of the boys and their parents.Cub Scouting  is a family-oriented program. The Pack needs the support of the Cub  Scout's family in order to do its best for the boys. The greater the  parental involvement, the more the Cub Scout and his family will get out of  it. The time we have with our children is short.Take advantage of  the Cub Scout Program's help in making memories that will last a lifetime for  you and your son.
