| Car Specification 1) All cars must pass inspection to qualify for the race. The inspection points are: a) The car must have been made during the current year, and be made from a BSA Derby Kit. Nothing that has raced before. The only lubricant allowed is graphite. b) The width shall not exceed 2 � inches. c) The length shall not exceed 7 inches. d) The weight shall not exceed 5 ounces. e) The car must have a minimum bottom clearance of 3/8 of an inch. f) Axles, wheels, and body wood shall be as provided in BSA kit. g) Wheel bearings, washers, and bushing are prohibited. Nothing between wheels and wood but air. h) The car shall not ride on any kind or type of spring. i) Any details added must be within length, width, and weight limits. No details are to over hang front of car. The front of car must start even with the starting line. j) The car must be freewheeling, with no starting devices. k) No loose material of any kind. Nothing moves but the wheels. l) Each car must have a clearly visible assigned registration number, separate from decorations 2) Cars will be called by assigned registration number, not owner's name. 3) All cars should be ready to pass inspections at registration on race day. Minor repairs will be available to make cars pass inspections at the inspection area. |
