| Tiger Cubs are boys who are 6 years of age or in the first grade. Tiger Cubs work with an adult partner. The adult partner attends all meetings and functions with the Tiger Cub. The adult partner can be a parent (preferably both parents) a relative age 21 or older, or a responsible adult person age 21 or older that the parent has authorized to care for the Tiger Cub. (Such as a Big Brother volunteer, or friend of family). The adult partner need not be the same adult at every meeting Mom & Dad can take turns. Consistency is recommended for the benefit of the Tiger, limiting partners to 3 adults is a good idea. Tiger Cub meetings are planned in turn by each Tiger/partner team. Each meeting should be planned to work on an achievement in the Tiger Activity Book. There is one Partner from the group who acts as a Coordinator to keep the paper work and records in order, and attends committee meetings to represent the Tiger Den. An Assistant Coordinator is also recommended. Tiger Cubs usually work on the very basics of the scouting program, each step of the program builds upon the skills learned at the previous level. Uniform: Tiger Cubs wear the blue uniform with an orange neckerchief, and tiger hat. |
