| Due to some additional waiting in the airport and cancelled flights, Joe and I took a chopper out to Lukla where our trek began. The ride on the chopper was amazing... and we got our first view of everest to boot. | |

| Some porters in Phakding... the porters carry up to 150K (rougly 300 lbs) up the mountain, and they use s strap on their heads... that's it. They get paid by the pound, and sometimes break their necks (lirerally overdoing it)... Most of them also wear flip-flops... I had $100 gortex boots.... |
