Climate
Temperature

Lowest mean minimum:   January 6.9 degree C

Evaporation (Average):  5.5 mm/day

Rainfall

Problems
1. Choes (Seasonal torrents)
     a) Release of huge quantity of sediment and detritus has
created the problem of widening of choes.
     b) Deposition of sands on agricultural fields.
     c) Siltation of reservoirs.

2. Losing Biodiversity in the hills by indiscriminate removal
of vegetation cover and over grazing.

3. Small land holding and rain fed agriculture due to non
availability of irrigation sources; Income from farmland is
meager and overall economy is poor.

4. Existence of large number of unproductive animals exert
heavy pressure on the vegetation in hills for fodder
