Dear Irene:

Thank you for your letter received some time ago. I must beg your pardon for my long delay. I have thought of you many times but answering your letter was not accomplished.

The thing is, I thought I would wait until after Axel's wedding which was on August 25th. Since then we have had so much work to get out of the way this fall that it has been impossible to have time left for writing. On Sundays we are seldom at home.

Must tell you something about the wedding. It was celebrated for two days. There were over 100 guests, mostly young people. There was life and gayety, you can be sure. Music and dancing, also games, and many beautiful presents for the bridal pair. No cousins were there except my sister Nancy and I. Just think if you had come along, what fun it would have been. A couple of stylish Americans were there.

At Nyshult they have not gotten any letter from you regarding the money. They would be glad to know if you got it and had any use for it. So Clarence has a little boy. He must be big and strong by now. What is his name?

At this time we are having severe winter weather here in Sweden. But I should not complain because we had a most wonderful fall. Sunshine and summer weather every day. The first snow fell last week and now we have crackling ice. ?

Here come some Swedes to visit (photos). I have the honor to present papa, mama. Sister Nancy's son, Olle, also Sister Emmy's little Gunn-Britte. (photos ) The other photo is one of me, if cannot recognize it. They were taken here at home and are far from good. Will take better ones next time. Greet your brother and family so much, and last your papa and you are fondly remembered by me and all of us.

HILMA

I wish you a good and merry Christmas.

Write!
