Ostrahult, Sweden Dear Cousin John Snygg: I have been asked by a sister (Sjoblad) of your brother Carl's first wife (Mina) to write regarding two small savings accounts which the children should receive now from their grandfather who passed away a couple years ago. (4 years ago) 200 kronor were deposited and added to that interest perhaps in the amount of 100 kronor. So it is not a large sum. Mina's brother was appointed executor for the children but he died (1922) during the past year. Now they wish to hear from the children in order to send them the money, but do not have their address. As I became heir after my brother, I promised to write for information and take care of their interests in the estate. I hope you will have the kindness to advise Carl's children regarding the above and instruct them to notify their aunt and uncle in (Sjoblad) Fjalster. Their address is the same as before: Carl Sjoblad, Fjalster, Tuna, Kalmar Lan, Sweden. (I notice that I said the children's grandfather died a couple years ago, but it is all of 4 years ago) Well, we are strangers to each other even if we are cousins I am the youngest of Karlberg's children and have reach ed the age of 50. Time goes so fast. inherited my parents' farm. They are both dead as you no doubt have heard. I have been married for 20 years, have 4 children, one being a son. We have an unusually dry spell this summer, the worst one that I can remember. Here in Smoland? we have a really good crop. Our farm has not suffered too much in the absence of rain. There is much unemployment and trouble among the people, all because they have to live on union wages. Cordially, J A KARLBERG
