Prayer Requests

• We are hoping and believing to return to Tanzania for about 10 days in August for a number of reasons. We have been invited to be the best man and matron of honor in our friends' wedding, and we also want to follow up with the people we met and began ministering with so that we can continue to keep in contact with them while the Lord has us in further training here in the States as He prepares us for the work He has for us in Tanzania. Our next opportunity to visit Tanzania after August will be in June, when Dave finishes his training, and we do not believe the Lord would have us wait that long. We know He will guide and provide according to His will. Please pray for us to have wisdom and for the finances to be available if it truly is His will for us to take this trip, as we believe it is.  

• Please pray for Crystal's grandma, who will be having surgery March 30 for lung and breast cancer. Pray that she will have peace, comfort, and healing and that she will be drawn close to the Lord through this. Pray against fear and the spread of cancer

• Please pray for our good friends Ron and Danna. Their first baby, Gianna, was taken to heaven on May 3 following induction and a stillbirth. She had a rare genetic disorder but is healed and whole now, with the Lord. However, shortly after this difficult trial, 25-year-old Danna was diagnosed with leukemia, and in August she had a bone marrow transplant. She is doing very well now, and tests show a sucessful transplant of Danna's sister's bone marrow and no more traces of leukemia. Please pray for complete healing and the peace of God in their spirits, especially regarding Danna's continued healing. Also pray that they will be able to have children of their own again as chemotherapy often prevents this. Ron and Danna are a wonderful couple who serve the Lord and are a blessing to everyone around them. Ron is a full-time InterVarsity Christian Fellowship staff member, and Danna was a teacher at a Christian school until last May. God has big plans for their lives and is using their testimony to bless and touch others. Let’s be faithful to pray for them through their emotional and physical recovery, knowing that God works even these things together for His good and His glory in those who love Him, as Ron and Danna certainly do!
