Forewarning of Catastrophe
First in the Series

--Compiled by ExiledGM

On the eve of 12 November, the Second Year, the Island Elders made their way by carriage to the beachfront, near the ruins of the Pleasuredome. Notably absent were the Silver Seaport Auxiliary Guardsmen that usually comprise the entourage of Lords Merrick and Quajinx Moonskyr-Pryce; but for their native elven driver, they were alone.

The brothers began to speak, with Merrick getting emotional; Actually, only Merrick's voice could be heard in the quiet night, until Treyman Maichen, who was in the area and his curiosity peaked seeing the elegant carriage as well as hearing the elderly elf's sobs.

From the shadows came Meryleep the fae, eavesdropping as best she could, as well as a newly deposited mainlander, the fresh-from-port Bryanna, to see what was going on. Soon, Quajinx brought them all closer, speaking to them. The sharp-eyed noted that Quajinx's mouth never opened; he was speaking to them through a form of telepathy. The common knowledge sometimes forgotten resurfaced; Quajinx, the sage wizard of the Isle was born without a tongue.

Using the magics, he brought Treyman, Meryleep and Bryanna closer, to share with them what he and Merrick were discussing; certain unavoidable facts of what will become of the Isle.

Now, much could be lost in the re-telling of this story from my voice; it will have to suffice that the visions were grisly, terrifying and shocking. Treyman, Meryleep and Bryanna saw with their own eyes, as Quajinx led them into the terror, floating several feet above the ground, invisible to those in the visions. The tastes, smells, and sights were very real, but Quajinx's weave of the magics allowed the trio to experience the horrors without allowing them to be hurt..just yet.

He begifted the three with the Gift of Telepathy: This gift will allow them to share, with any Islander they've ever encountered, what they saw. If, for example, Meryleep were to bring forth an Isle Resident of her acquaintance to her mind, she could then do as Quajinx did and speak without words, or she could share the vision directly, channeling what she saw with her eyes into the mind's eye of another she wishes to warn. The Gift will last until the Visions hold true, or the three perish, or leave the island under their own volition.

They saw what was to be. I strongly suggest that others who've read the November Edition of the Sandpaper and had dismissed certain claims therein as 'exaggerated' or as 'hype'..if you are stopped in your tracks by awful visions flooding your head, or hear a voice..do think if you know any of the individuals who were given the gift. They might be trying to warn you.

Supplemental:

Certain confirmations were disclosed during this Quest to Treyman Maichen, Meryleep and Bryanna; One portion of confirmation regarded the disease, the other confirmed a death toll not yet disclosed openly to the Islanders until this December Edition of Sandpaper publicly, but previously, on the Second in this Quest Series on 20 November.

The Beginning of the End:
Second in the Series

--By ExiledGM

At nine o'clock in the evening on 20 November, Year Two, a carriage carrying Lords Merrick and Quajinx Moonskyr-Pryce returned to the beachfront once more, after its last appearance there eight nights prior. It stopped as it did last time, at the site of the former Pleasuredome. Absent of torchlight, all the beach had was illumination from the moon, and the reflections off the water. Several native elves were looting the last of the Pleasuredome ruins, on their knees picking through the rubble. Taking a solo walk on the beach, Xanthia looked up and began to make her way to where it stopped. She noted that it'd been some time since any dared to travel, even at night and the carriage caught her curiosity.

Meryleep sat by the shoreline like she does most nights, and turned her head as she heard the carriage's arrival. Quajinx and Merrick stepped out, and Quajinx spoke as he did time last; The mouth that holds no tongue spoke through his mind, beckoning any closeby to come forth. Meryleep recognized the now-familiar voice and quietly fluttered closer. Xanthia too approached, curiosity piqued. Quajinx spoke: "Something to tell those with enough sense to keep to the shadows..and a query as well...which would you like to field first?" Merrick simply sobbed, looking far more broken than in days past, head in his hands and begging Khlamar for forgivenness, for withholding the truths so long ago, his words variating between common and ancient elven. Xanthia looked strong but stressed, and said tersely, "Say what needs saying."

Quajinx: "Disease has spread, disease has evolved. The fate unveiled time last is unresolved. Look at him. Look at them." :: First he looks to his brother, and then to the looters. :: "Pathetic in their own ways, yet coping best they can. None of the trio to live much longer, as they're resigned to stay. My query is, have you decided what your fate will hold?" Xanthia gave a flat "Not really." Meryleep sniffled, lamenting, "I have no way of leaving..it's too far to fly..". Quajinx looked inquisitively at Xanthia, his left eye tremoring. He extended his palm to her, to give her a taste of what Treyman Maichen and Meryleep saw on last outing, giving her a bit of the visions. He took his palm from her temple and looked to Meryleep then.

Quajinx: "Fly? No...none must fly...":: Quajinx summoned Meryleep to sit upon his shoulder and then looked to two who've come forth from the darkness on the shore. His mindspeech offered to them a place in the circle. The recently returned Eyas approached and lifted his thumb to point over his shoulder at the former Pleasuredome. He added, a bit taken aback by the changes since he'd left: "People looting openly...have I gone mad, or does it seem a bit apocalyptic here?" Xanthia 's left eye twitched and her arms trembled as she spoke to Eyas, signs of the strain coming forth. She tilted her head and looks at Eyas. "The island will be destroyed soon. They are just gathering for the fall." Kevorin Sirith approached the small gathering as well, asking, "The island destroyed? So then...it's progressed this far?" Xanthia nods slowly, answering in the affirmative.

Quajinx looked to Eyas and turned his palm to face Eyas's temple, as he'd done with Xanthia just moments before. With the move, the sage wizard gave Eyas the following knowledge: 1. The Silver Seaport Auxiliary Guardsmen are all dead, taken by a horrific disease strain which causes one's insides to rupture outward. Organs liquefy, bodies implode. This apparently originated from a dragon which fell from the sky. 2. He spared Eyas the 'tour' given to Mery and Xanthia, and then enveloped Kevorin in the next phase of the vision: A vision of belching, acrid black smoke blotting out the sky..To accompany the vision, the sands began to rumble and part. Yet, the questors realized something awful: The sands were shifting. The sensations were real..and before their eyes, Merrick and the two elven looters were swallowed into the sands. Molten lava spat upward from the sand, and yet, those with Quajinx (Xanthia, Eyas, Meryleep, Kevorin) remained standing where they were.

Untouched and unscathed.

The Islanders' eyes widened; Meryleep withheld a scream, Eyas clutched his head with his hand, and fell silent. Xanthia and Kevorin both scrambled back in horror, mouths agape at the horror of the isle swallowing the Elder and the looters whole. Quajinx looked to Eyas, and levitated him two feet above the sand. "Comfort ground afforded. This is a vision to us.", differentiating between "us" and "them". Quajinx then levitated Xanthia and Kevorin..but any that looked at Quajinx's feet would've seen that they appeared to have melted away. At that point, all noticed that breathing became labored; Smoke blotted out any traces of light completely now, shrouding everyone in total darkness.

A -CRACK- thundered as the vision began to unfold. Land began to split, buildings began to collapse, and screams rose, then silenced completely. Quajinx brought them close in the darkness, granting Protection to this group for now. Hands were joined and the magics brought the gift of foresight. Quajinx confirmed that "My brother...swallowed in the sands is now dead. That is real." Eyas muttered loudly enough for any close to him to hear, "Lived in darkness most of my life...seeked it out when I could....and now, here I am, enshrouded in it against my will....and it does not comfort me as it did in years past...". Xanthia put her hands up over her ears as the loud thunderous crack of land gave way to expose the mantle beneath, the and the noxious smells of gases trapped with lava almost gagging her.

Quajinx spoke: "I will contort the weaves of the magics as best I can, for these two men, and these two women, if they will commit to open minds and open eyes, and common sense. If you cannot commit, pull back your hands." Meryleep, then Eyas joined hands. Kevorin hesitated for a brief second, and Xanthia seemed apprehensive, bringing Quajinx's ire. His voice boomed over the crackling fire and another resurgence of screams: "Choose, girl!" Choking smoke continued to thicken and fill their lungs as time to choose began to run out. Xanthia took the pixie's hand, and swallowed whatever hesitation, to be afforded Protection and join the party. The circle complete, Quajinx's arms looked like limbs from a rubber tree, surrounding the quartet. They soared high into the sky, above the clouds of deadly smoke and burning ruins. Soaring high, the party had clean air to breath and clear vision. They were given a temporary gift of Flight (gift elapsed at quest end): A two-mile radius from Quajinx's side to spread their arms, which were temporarily wings, like that of a hawk and dragon hybrid, with spans are 15 feet.

Kevorin Sirith seemed awed, noting "How.....small it seems from up here...." Meryleep nodded to Kevorin's comment, her thoughts on her home in the jungle, in a tree, and where she'd go. She didn't say anything, but Quajinx spoke to her: "You saw time last what will become of your home. You cannot go back there. Ever." Quajinx raised his hand, and pierced Meryleep's flesh with his razorlike fingernail, somehow painlessly, bloodletting her. Her eyes widened in fear, but not pain.. Eyas was looking down at the jungle where he'd survived since he returned...and wondered how close he'd come to death just living there. Quajinx looked to Eyas, and summoned him closer, piercing his flesh as he did Meryleep's, free of pain. He then announced, in a matter-of-fact way, "You two are infected, and I am giving you the gift of Restored Health. The Jungles are infested and if I do not bleed you, you will die before we touch the ground, protective weave or not."Meryleep was stunned. "I.. was infected? Will.. will I die?" Eyas was shocked. "What?!" Quajinx simply said, "The jungles all.." and proceeded to guide them into the vision:

**Dawn. The sun rises. The midnight insects cease their songs..The mosquitoes, flies, and the daycreatures come out. Eyas can see himself sleeping at the base of a tree, coming to as the sun filters through the vines. In the sunbeams, he will see scattered pieces of corpse some 10 yards away..the flies swarming toward it. They feast on the flesh, and when satisfied, they swarm back, toward him. They bite him again and again. Mery has a similar view of herself, in her tree, yawning. A fly enters her mouth, and nips her tongue. Time went by in the vision, and Eyas and Mery were treated to image given at prequel..yet the face on the victims were their own.**

Quajinx then broke the vision. When it was over, a droplet of red, healthy blood dripped from beneath their fingernails. Revitalized and fresh, Eyas and Meryleep were pure once more. Eyas blinked, intrigued, and surprised by the fact that the fly that bit him while he slept infected him. He smirked as he lowers his hand "Perfect little assassins without even knowing it...." Meryleep looked at Quajinx, knowing she needn't speak to be heard by him, asking "I can't go back there... where will i go now?" He didn't answer her right away, except to nod to her. Quajinx instead asked Xanthia and Kevorin, "Would you like to see what would happen if you stay?"They answered in the affirmative, and began to unveil Xanthia and Kevorin's shared fate. Eyas looked to Kevorin, sighing and shuddering at the thought of staying, for after all, who'd want to? Quajinx beckoned Xanthia and Kevorin, they came closer, and the second vision began:

**Quajinx has shown Eyas and Mery that their direct exposure in the jungle caused them infection. Of course, those in the jungle could be bitten, but dawn is the most likely time to get ill there. Xanthia and Kevorin are now thrust into a mid-day vision. Xanthia can see herself exiting the house with a little boy in tow. Kevorin can be seen walking out of a shop with a small sack in his hand, perhaps picking up something to eat. Middle of the day, colonists out and about in their daily routines. The day's insects have fed on the rotting corpses all the day long.
And now, they look for more.
Greedy bastards...going for the healthy blood..Xanthia sees a swarm of insects heading straight for her, and the child, covering them like bees to hives. Kevorin can see himself swatting away as they come through the sleeves of his robe. Bitten over and over again, they become dizzy..and in twelve hours, they too mutate into the ...things that Eyas and Mery became, before dying agonizingly. Quajinx then broke the vision, glancing at a now pale Xanthia:**

Xanthia gasped and looks at Quajinx plainly "I have to get my nephew." He reassured Xanthia that the boy is safe.."for now." Xanthia stated, "but he wont be." Quajinx confirmed that: "That is right. None will be. Stay to the shadows, move in the cover of darkness, when the flies have retired, when you can hear the crickets and the peepers...As the disease spreads, those who venture out in the day..those whom you don't warn..will be stricken, one by one. It is only safe now at night. Not dusk. Night. Today is the 20th of this November of the Second year of this Colony. You have now, 10 nights..including this one...until the 30th...to leave. If you have not yet gotten your supplies...I urge you to do so. If you have not secured passage..I implore you to do that. Do not fly."

He then brought them to another point of the vision.
**So many are desperately trying to fly out. Winged elves/dragons/fae, even birds.. As if the volcanoes took the flying objects in their sights...the rumblings and tremors belch smoke and spit waves of Lava, incinerating them..**

Meryleep began to panic that she couldn't leave. Xanthia offered her, Kevorin and Eyas placement on Xanthia's ship, "The Darkness Heart," after Quajinx urged those without vessels to ..."Find someone. Offer something and one will claim you on their manifest. For dragons, I suggest..you wade best you can. Many forget the barrier island. Once you clear the barrier island, you can take the sandbar out quite a ways." Eyas thought that Quajinx meant offer gold. He said, "Ah you mean pay for a trip, hm?" Quajinx then clarified what he meant: "The imminent dangers can be soothed but slightly...the offering of helping...food...working for passage..may get you out of here alive. It need not be gold. It may be communication." Xanthia then reiterated to Eyas, and Kevorin that they had passage. But before Eyas and Kevorin could thank her, Quajinx's face paled, his eyes rolled back in his head, and the force of something unseen threw him back. As his rubberlike arms were still around the party, they too were thrown, but released before hitting the sand. This wasn't a vision: The magic's weave of Protection began to fade, and something -not- predicted came to be.

Quajinx's hold on them broken, Xanthia, Eyas, Meryleep and Kevorin tumbled to the ground. The carriage was there, but to reaffirm the deaths not part of the vision earlier, Merrick and the looting elves were not. Meryleep fluttered to Quajinx's side, concerned. He fell moments after they did, and electric could be seen coursing the old elf's body. Kevorin took a hesitant step toward Quajinx, then back as the convulsions took hold. Quajinx then began to speak through them, the efforts quelling the convulsions to tremors:

"As happened once before, the interlocks of magic break, blurring the lines of those who remain and those who have fallen...." He pointed to the water. Xanthia, Mery, and Eyas turned to look, as Kevorin continued to watch the elf. Xanthia shivered visibly upon the sight, which, again, was -not- a vision: Sir Paul Lyons emerged from the water. Known as a longtime guard of the House of Carazzi, as well as the sire of Paul Maichen, he appeared healthy with clear, unblind eyes. He walked upon the shore as if he'd never left. Meryleep didn't know him, and looked to the others. Eyas took a half-step back, stating his discomfort with the "Walking Dead." Xanthia gulped air, blinking as if to clear her vision but it did no good. She still saw Paul, walking the beach, presumably taking the familiar pathway toward the House of Carazzi. Meryleep gawked at Eyas, asking "you mean..he's.. d.d.d.d.d.dead?!" Eyas stated that he -thought- so, that he'd read it in the Sandpaper awhile ago..Xanthia confirmed that. Quajinx's tremors began to subside and he forced himself into a sitting position. He explained:

"So it seems that The window of opportunity has opened once more..This time, the dark magics offering change, reverse of order. Where infirmities came last time, these come through in their prime. Anything of change is unseen..only time will tell. (Paul) is awakened. The Window that let the dead pass back to life is once more open, for seven nights, this time to those who perished before the beginning of the collapse of isle society." Quajinx recovered sufficiently to see himself home in his carriage, and the witnesses discussed the events at the end, to decide what was to be done next.

The Collapse and Departure: Part Three of Three

-- By CharminGM

November 30, Year Two: The End.

The quest began with everyone finishing final preparations for leaving the Island. Eyas and Kevorin had remained in shelter thus keeping them safe from the disease. The Morgans and Carazzis as well as some of the other island families are safe as well, and awaiting word as to departure. Quajinx is standing on the beach when the ground begins to tremor a bit stronger than it has in the past few days.

The sun slowly becomes overtaken by the smoke of the volcano, sending the island into the darkness of evening, long before its time. All on the island notice the sun being blotted out of the sky, no matter where they are. From Eyas, who is heading towards the ship The Darkness Heart; Kevorin who is aboard The Sweet, Sweet Eleanor; Charquin, Ros, Embrich, Alterio I and the baby Ava who are still inside of Chars house; Loomis who was staring out his window; SaLara, and Anastasia in the jungle; Madame Pearl standing on the deck of the Prairie Oyster, and Ma waddling down the cobblestone road of the Bazaar.

Those on ships begin to feel the waters roughing a bit. Causing even the largest of the ships to be tossed about a bit. The heat on the isle begins to rise, beyond that of normal tropical temperature, there is actually steam coming from the sand! The trees even seem to be sweating, and if any had such a device to rate the air's temperature it would prove to be, at minimum, 120*.

Embrich, holding the baby, and Alterio I begin searching the house of Clemont, each searching for their respective ladies who have seemed to disappear. The smoke is growing thicker, and Embrich has to cover the babys nose and mouth with a cloth as well as try and avoid inhaling it himself. Aragon`Lyrre rides fast through the jungle, cursing as he tramples the lush foliage beneath the horses hooves, he knows damn well the SS Prairie Oyster has not returned and that the Pirate wench made off with his gold and loot before departure could happen.he makes way for the docks.

Loomis stumbles through the darkness and hears the sounds of a horse. He cries out for help, he can't see, except for the orange embers now flying through the smoky black sky like shooting stars. At Clemont Manor, Rosalyn grips Charquins hand, urging her to come along and head to the ship, both women worried about where the men have gone. But Ros begs Char not to leave her side. Sa`Lara_Delphini stumbles through the tainted trail, feeling the ash consume her lungs and make for choking maneuvers through coughing, madness in her eyes quickens with every step.

Tobias leans over the ship, uttering a silent prayer when suddenly a sharken lunges from the dark depths of the ocean, into the air, and his bloodied jaw misses Tobias by mere inches before he crashes back into the waters murky depths. Ma walks now along the docks, the darkening sky sends shivers down her back as she approaches the docks. Her face is soaked with sweat and her floral dress clings to her mammoth body, she approaches the first ship she sees (the darkness heart) and boards it quickly. Brave or not, the ever quickening tremor of the ground, and the smoke curtain about the island is enough to send even Ma into a vortex of fear.

Back at the Manor, Ldy_Charquin curls her fingers, and closes her eyes, teleporting her and Rosalyn from her room, to dock outside the Carazzis ship. She then shoves ros in the direction of the ship with a hasty."Go, I'll be back" and teleports herself back to her home before anyone can stop her. Arriving back thru her magic's, Ldy_Charquin glances around quickly and begins to feel her body overheating from the sauna like temperature of the island, she drops her cloak, and tears off her underclothing quickly as she runs around the perimeter of her home looking for Embrich, Alterio and the baby. Alterio A. Carazzi I begins to cough as the smoke now begins to fill through every doorframe and window jamb. Ldy_Charquin runs quickly in thru the doors of her once majestic house, now filled with horrid smoke and the smell of impending doom, hearing the coughing of someone, and soon realizing its Alterio, she grabs at his arm, not able to lift him, and begins choking herself, her fingers curl, and they are both gone appearing on the doc in front of the ship. Ldy_Charquin allows Alterio to the ground, having no time to think, her lungs filling with the horrid smoke herself, and motions to Ros to help the elder when she can. Then curling her fingers, Char disappears once more. Shortly thereafter, Embrich and the baby appear upon the docs, much as Alterio had moments ago. But no Charquin.

Aragon`Lyrre elvish ears twitch to the side as he spies the young boy from earlier, his thoughts of profit has all but vanquished, He growls as he peels back the reigns of his black steed, hearing the whiney fill the ashen air as he spins his horse around and rushes in full canter towards Loomis. Grabbing him by the scruff of his neck much like a mother animal, and racing him to safety aboard the ship. SaLara heads slowly towards the docs, as flashes of ember from the volcano light her path thru the jungle, her mind almost mad from breathing the toxic fumes, she begins to yell in thanks to her goddess for this mass destruction. The Carazzi II family are wheezing their way to the docks now, having set out, holding each other and finally making it, all covered in soot and sweat. Jane is still heavy with child and all the smoke and soot could be poisoning the unborn seed.

Ma ends up bickering with Eyas if there is room aboard the ship for her, and finally joins him after gaining acceptance from Kevorin.. Cipriana is seen standing on deck of her own ship with Sir Paul Lyons at the helm. And SaLara makes it aboard as well, muttering in her drow tongue, now completely madd. Quajinx Moonskyr-Pryce, is still in the darkness at the ruins by Pleasuredome, he is clenching his teeth and his hands, in a movement toward the skies. Beneath him, a fountain of lava spurts upward, consuming him. His magic's are released, giving the residents 3 minutes of light and clear air as Quajinx gave his own life in order to spare theirs.

Ldy_Charquin passes out on the floor of her house, before the air clears, her amulet glowing, no one left to save her, she assumes her life is over, that is until by magic her body is lifted and levitated thru the air, and suddenly gone.....only to appear on the docs, passed out, in her sister Anastasia's arms. Both sisters a mess, but alive, and Ana carries Char towards the plank of the Carazzis ship, allowing the elder to carry Char the rest of the way up. All are now safe aboard their respective ships, and ready to set sail before anything happens. Embrich jumps down to the docks quicky to untie the lines of everyone ship. He cuts the Black Pearl, then the Prairie Oyster, and runs to cut off the Carazzi fleet. The boat has drifted too far for him to jump with success, and he stands alone on the dock now. Rosalyn screams as she watches the ships begin to sail away without Embrich, Ldy_Charquin hears her scream and inclines her head towards Ana. Ana flickers her eyes once again, understanding, and Embrich is levitated high into the air. Moving back towards the boat. Landing on its decks with an ungraceful THUD.

After that all is quiet aboard the different ships. All the surviving citizens lost in their own thoughts. Thoughts of disbelief, thoughts of what is going to happen now, what will become of them, what their lives will be like, when suddenly...

*BOOM*

Mt. Giszka erupts, the calm before the storm over, spurting lava high, the blinding oranges and brilliant yellows illuminating everyone and everything. The illumination of the prominent Houses of the Island can be seen turning to rubble, crumbling as if a bomb went off.

*CRACK*

The Burial volcano, the one smaller than Giszka and thought to be -dormant- erupts like the other, and with this blinding illumination, you can see the Isle of Crystal Shores crack into pieces, pools of lava forming, the beginning of the Isle being swallowed into the sea. It is now, Crystal Shores Lost. Several of the women scream and duck, SaLara simple stares with a madd smirk upon her face. Anastasia hits her knees as she stares at the surreal sight. Rosalyn gasps and silent tears fall from her eyes. Alterio Carazzi II stares, his grey eyes going black, at the sight. He stands there mesmerized, eyes a squint, and wordless. Becoming a bitter, broken man as all he held dear begins to turn to ruin. Tobias looks as though in shock. The force of the activity began a tidal wave, which generated from underneath the vessels, raising all in the harbor high, giving the captains no control for a moment. The ships were literally being tossed like salad. The rush and scream of the sea of rushing water leaves all high in the air, as all watch the entire island become swallowed by the sea.

For what seems like an eternity, all the ships are tossed about, passengers holding on for life. Some getting drenched by the tidal waves, others were turning green from the rocking and swaying of the vessel. None can believe the mass destruction and sudden disappearance of the whole island in a matter of moments. The thrust from the water that threw the boats was buffered by Quoin's last spell, to guide the vessels down safely, not shattering them or sinking them on impact. All that had the foresight to leave are, currently, undismayed and alive. But that says nothing for their spirits which are now crumpled, and shattered. The vessels come under control a short time later, now in safe harbor, the water smooth as glass. Almost as if denying the mass destruction that just occurred. The Isle of Crystal Shores is, in pieces, at the bottom of the ocean floor, miles below where the ships are. The silence doesn't last for long as suddenly the water begins to churn and the ships begin to shake again, bubbles begin to fill the oceans surface, air bubbles... bubbles of life.

The ocean floor's plates begin to shift with the impact...and in the distance...with great groans, creaks and splashes...something is rising to the surface...something that is guaranteed to change the lives of those present forever...

The Isle is gone forever. What has arisen in the distance? Time will tell...

So..What Became of You?
--Crystal Shores RPG Staff Team

Understanding that some couldn't make it to the final quest, you have until December 5 to post to the Crystal Shores Journals Board your character's escape of the Island. Each entry will be reviewed by the GMs and judged. Examples:

Aemeryllis had pre-contact with Ela-Mara. The two decided that they were leaving the island together. The groundwork was laid a week ago.

Aemeryllis's journal entry detailed how they did it, in ways that were plausible to her and Ela-Mara's characters.

That was deemed acceptable.

On the other hand, if John_Doe posts something to the effect of having a grand vessel built in an hour/just walking away through the water/the island blew up and he walked away unscathed...of course, these entries will be deemed invalid.

You've got til December 5th to live..of course, if there are difficulties in the time schedule, you are welcome to contact the Help Desk and we will work with the players as reasonably as possible. However, we of course cannot entertain requests of survival..regardless of how plausible the explanation..anytime after January the First, the official opening date of Broken Saga. Thanks.

Life and Death and Banishment and all that:

The Ship of Fools will no longer be servicing the port of Crystal Shores, effective 1 December, Year Two, due to Island Activity deeming it an unsafe harbor. The Ship of Fools served the Isle very well since its beginning runs some eighteen-plus months ago. We shall miss the carnivalesque ship festooned with streamers and ribbon taking away our outcasts. Fare thee well, crew of this Ship.

Death Announcements:
Deaths, at this time, cannot be confirmed in full, as there are no longer any Silver Seaport Auxiliary Guardsmen for the Sandpaper writers to mine for this information. These names have been provided to us by the last issuing of the Registrar's Notes. We sadly announce that this may be our last complete roster, as we too are, by the time of publication and dispensing this edition, leaving the Isle, as the dangers are too great to stay. Rumors of the FallenRealm???
GMockery

It has been rumored that a few of Sapphiredge citizens have fallen through the cracks of our distinct society. The vagabonds, the prowlers, the lost, have withered benethe the surface to make homage within our sewers and underground tunnel systems benethe the S'Leer city. Many concerned citizens ralley their disapproval to let these...troublesom dwellers remain below. -Quote from annonymous citizen- "We should set out a party to harbor all those below and put them where they belong, its a disgrace!".

The question remains, are there those willing to brave the depths of the FallenRealm? Are there those willing to upset the balance that now stands on Sapphiredge above? Should we leave well enough alone? The many unanswered questions still remain, but the rumors of the Underground world still reach the innocent ears from above.
