Trappers PICTURES!!!!!!!!!!! They love to look at trapping pictures, whether their own or someone elses. From the first convention I ever went to, I always wanted to have a big book of pictures like the professionals at conventions.
Now I finally have such and album. I am putting this album online so all trappers can share in my memories. Because that is what they are memories. Memories of running the traplines with Pop and my Dad when I was young. Learning from them how to and not to trap. Trapping with the greatest partner a man could ask for Arnold Favinger. Memories of foggy mornings and frosty dawns. The sunsets and numerous sunrises that only trappers get to see and appreciate. The icy rush going over hip boots and the adrenaline pumping sight of a red dancing against a rising sun. The thrill of the first check of the year, and the saddness of the last. Now I think of the days I have run the line with my own boys, and how we can look at the pictures and remember the day as if it happened this morning. Someday maybe they will have books like mine.
