The Old Days These pages are from when I was to young to trap with Dad and Pop on the big lines. These are the years when my Dad really started trapping foxes with a passion. Pop always specialized in coons, but that's not to say he couldn't catch foxes as well.

Here's the earliest picture I could find of a DiSalvo trapping. It is a picture of my grandfather "Pop" (on the left) and his buddy trapping foxes down in Maryland.

Here's an early picture of Dad. I think this is in 78 or so.

Seems like the Old Men knew how to catch some foxes.

And a couple of coons for good measure. (This is before we learned how to put up coons the right way.)

Pop taking a last count before we start taking lots of pictures.

Dad arranging some coons to suit him. Pop and I watch on.

My brother Matthew and Dad taking one last look at the furs.

My little brother (who's now 6'3" tall!!), my Dad and I posing as best we can for a picture.

Proud trappers all!
