The Mudhens failed to resign Gus Terry earlier this week. The Mudhens had reportedly given Terry a one year incentive-based deal pending a physical. Terry wanted a multi-year deal with guaranteed money. One Mudhen executive said he "wasn't confident" with the condition of Terry's chronically injured right shoulder. The Cardinals, however, were more than willing to take on Terry's long history of arm problems. The Cardinals have signed Terry to a 2-year deal; dollars have not yet been reported. Terry declined comment through his agent.
