Wind Beneath My Wings
It must have been cold there in my shadow
To never have sunlight on your face
You were content to let me shine - that's your way
You always walked a step behind

So I was the one with all the glory
While you were the one with all the strain
A beautiful face without a name - for so long
A beautiful smile to hide the pain

Did you ever know that you're my hero
And everything I would like to be
I can fly higher than an eagle
For you are the wind beneath my wings

It might have appeared to go unnoticed
But I've got it all here in my heart
I want you to know I know the truth
Of course I know it
I would be nothing without you

Did you ever know that you're my hero
You're everything I wish I could be
I could fly higher than an eagle
For you are the wind beneath my wings
A poem from Leaves of Gold
Arriving;
We picture death as coming to destroy
Let us rather picture Christ as coming to save,
We think of death as sending,
Let us rather think of life as beginning.
And that more abundantly, we think of losing,
Let us think of gaining.
We think of parting,
Let us think of meeting.
We think of going away,
Let us think of arriving.
And as the voice of death whispers, "You must go from earth",
Let us hear the voice of Christ saying, "You are but coming to me".
Brother Charles,

The dear Lord gave him birth and came early this morning, took him into his kingdom. There he will rest in peace.  No pain. No worries.  He was an exceptionally good father to all his children and grandchildren.  He reminds me of St. Peter the fisherman.  He gave up the consumption of harmful things to his health and followed Christ.  With the help of his dear wife Fern, he entered the Mormon church.

For years, we did not see each other.  We were busy working and raising a family.  He was good and generous with me.  In the last few years we were able to know each other better, as we had more time to visit.  Also to my nieces and nephews, they know I am available whenever they need me.  And to my dear sister in law, Fern, there will be times when we will reminisce of happy times of the past.

My brother awoke this morning ascended  into the Lord's kingdom of heaven.  I'm sure he's up there teaching someone how to cast a fly line by some brook or stream or lake.  He will be waiting for us.  Maybe he is conducting a meeting or Sunday sermon or just being good to someone.  To my nieces and nephews, I know you have your own problems, but you have honored your father's name.  You have not discredited the name of Prien.  I respect all of you for the way you have shown  your love for your father and mother.  Your mother will need you now more than ever.  I know you love her and will  take of her.  She is a very loving and dear person.  The Lord knows this.  God bless her.  Most of all, I thank you dear Lord for taking this family under your wing.  Amen.
