Prayer by Charles Lawrence Prien
Our Father in heaven, it is with a deep sense of humility, unconditional love, respect and unquestioned admiration that we have gathered today to say goodbye to our husband, father, grandfather, our brother, uncle, our hunting buddy, our working partner, friend and associate. To anyone whose lives were touched by Charlie, there will be a great sense of loss today. We ask our father in heaven to help us realize that Charles Prien is in thy presence and that he is spiritually whole and his body has been restored as he would want it to be, complete and whole. Heavenly Father, we ask that thy spirit and blessings be with the Matriarch of our family, Fern, that her strength and power continue to be exhibited to support those of her family who have had weak moments in accepting the loss of her life-long companion and eternal friend, Charlie. We ask thy blessings be with each and every family member and friend of Dad's who feels a sense of loss, that seems unbearable. But let us know Father in Heaven that you have accepted your cherished son, Charles Andrew Prien and that he is at your feet as we all assemble here and miss him. To a person, we all give thanks to thee for having let us have Charlie in our lives, for the time that he enhanced the quality and existence of our lives. We give thanks and gratitude for having been able to be here today to say goodbye to Dad and we ask thy blessing to be with him and everyone he knew and loved. In the name of Jesus Christ.
