| The Crow:City of Angels, released in 1996, is the follow-up to the original 1994 film. The movie, while it lacks the support the first film recieved, is still a great film. This time, a young man named Ashe, played by Vincent Perez, and his son are brutally murdered at the hands of an evil drug cartel that terrorize the streets of Los Angeles. After coming back from the dead, Ashe is assisted by a local tattoo artist named Sarah, played by Mia Kirshner, who was a young friend of Eric Draven in the original Crow movie. She tells him of why he is back and, along with the crow, guides him to his killers. He exacts revenge on all that are responsible for his and his son's death, only to realize that the mastermind behing the drug cartel has found a way to stop him. The movie is packed with great action scenes and very emotional ones, too. The movie came out 2 years after the release of The Crow, and recieved negative feed-back because many did not believe the crow could be played by anyone other than Brandon Lee. However, the movie is great as far as I am concerned and is another great piece of work that all came from a small comic book by James o'Barr. | |||||||||||
