February 5th 2004-July24th 2004
February 6th 2004 - Thank you to Harriet for her BP Lament which appears on page 14 of BP poetry. We would love to see some more poems of any kind so send them in. And we need some more 'how it was for us' pages, so if you are a longtimer please consider writing something for us.
February 26th 2004 - We have a new story on the 'How it was for us' pages. Thanks to Sherry K for that. :) We would love to see some more and are both working on our own. If you do want to send us yours try to stick to the emotional side as far as possible, life with BP, how you coped, how you cope now, how your life has changed etc etc.
March 1st 2004 - As an update to the revelation that there is to be a second Crooked Smiles Staff meeting and Team building exercise in May. We can reveal that it is to be extended to continue for a further week in Canada! YES! Splash is running off with Carrie back to Canada for another visit. Just can't get enough!LOLOLOL
March 15th 2004 - Thank you to Twofaced(George) for his poem 'Stranger In My Mirror' which is on BP poetry page 15. There is also a little bit about him on the authors page. :)
March 27th 2004 - We have a new poem on the anonymous pages. Thanks to the anonymous author for sharing that. :)
April 20th 2004 - Not long now to the meetings in London and Canada. We have several people coming along and hope that if anyone else out there can make it that they will email us for details. We can't wait to meet you!
May 27th 2004 - The meetings went really well, even though in the end we were a small but select bunch.:) We met Libby and her terrific twin daughters in London on the 16th May. Unfortunately the other two people that were coming couldn't make it at the last minute, but we had fun regardless and enjoyed a whizz around the London Aquarium, followed by a trip to MacDonalds and Coffee. All topped off with a crazed pigeon pooping on Splashys head!LOL
We then hopped over the pond to Canada and met up with Bobbi. We had an awesome couple of hours chatting in an Italian restaurant and I don't think we stopped laughing the whole time. It was great! :)
So all in all, it went very well and we hope that in the future people will put their shyness to one side and get together because meeting up with people who truly understand is an amazing experience and one worth doing. Thanks Bobbi, Libby and the twins, we will definitely do this again. :)
July 7th 2004 - Wow, its been a couple of months since I wrote in here, probably because things are pretty quiet on the poetry front. We would really like to be able to add some new poems here and see some new thoughts and ideas. We are always on the lookout for poems on the various forums, but please don't wait for us to ask, just send your stuff to us.
Poems don't just have to come from people at the BPIS, anyones poems would be considered. So please, if you are visiting from any of the BP or RHS sites and you have something you would like us to share with others, just email it to us at [email protected] You can have your real name added, your screen name or just be an anonymous author. :)
Come on people lets get inspired!! Sit yourselves down and write. We look forward to seeing what you can do.
July 7th 2004 -We hope you all enjoyed the pictures that we put up of our trips to England and Canada. After a count of over 100 viewings we felt that anyone who wanted to see would have taken a peek by now, so we have taken them off. We are shy little souls really and it was, believe it or not very scary for us to put those pics up! We have to give special thanks to Libby and Bobbi for agreeing to be part of the display and for being brave enough to go ahead with that and also thanks to our families who didn't get much choice in the matter!LOL
July 17th 2004 - We are delighted to have been able to add a new poem to the BP pages. Thanks to Tom for his Anti BP Poem! :) We would love to see more, so lets all get writing!
