On the Road to Hell
Where Their worm dieth not and the fire is not quenched. The Great Flood and Parting of Waters
By James H. Crofford
Noah had his flood but he built himself an ark. Moses parted the waters with his magic wand to cross the Red Sea. Then there was Joshua with his arc and he used it to part the waters of the River Jordan. Elijah and Elisha also parted the waters of the Jordan but they did it with a cloak. Then of course there was Jesus he didn't bother to part the waters. He just walked right across the Sea of Galilee.
The great flood and parting of waters miracles indeed, just pitiful legends. When Lake Mead flooded the Mojave Desert with enough water to cover the state of New York in a foot of water, was that one of God's great miracles? No it was Hoover Dam a man made miracle. Lets see God top that. Hoover Dam supplies enough electricity to provide energy for 750,000 people. It provides water for four of the great Sin Citys of the world, Las Angeles and San Diego Calafornia, Phoenix City Arizona and Las Vegas Nevada. Now there's man made mercy and compassion for you. Hoover Dam used enough concrete in its construction to build a four-foot sidewalk around the world at the equator. There was 96 men accidentally killed in the construction of hoover dam. How many millions were purposely and mercilessly destroyed in God's great flood?
Is the parting of the Red Sea one of God's great miracles? Give me a break. The parting of the English Channel with two tunnels fifty kilometers long, dug forty meters below sea level with trains traveling between England and France in 24 minutes. Now thats a miracle, a man made miracle. Ten men were accidently killed in construction of the tunnel. How many thousands of Egyptians were delibertly and heinously killed in the parting of the Red Sea? Oh but they wasn't God's chosen people. They were just someones sons, brothers, fathers, husbands and lovers.
What about walking on water? Did God walk on the moon? No but man did. You say God could then show me a picture. Oh they didn't have cameras back then. Why not with all of God's great miracles wasn't he able to make a camera. No but man was. Ah virgin birth, what about virgin birth? Today man is quite capable of scientifically creating virgin birth and it is a proven fact not just an excuse for a secret liaison behind the bushes. Virgin birth in biblical times? Ha, them people were barley out of the caves.
Resurrection you say. Today thousands of people whose hearts have stopped have been restored to health through the science of medicine. These are people who in biblical days would have been declared legally dead and buried. Is this then another great man made miracle?

Now about God's great destructive power when he brought down Sodom and Gomorrah. Compare it to Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Not one of man's proudest moments but true and verifiable, unlike the legendary account of Lot and his daughters. In compairson Sodom and Gomorrah was little more than swatting flies. After all Abrahams pleading and bargaining to save the two cities, God said there wasn't 10 righteous people in the cities and he had to destroy them. But he let the three most vile people imaginable leave before destroying the cities. Lots wife did nothing more that look back to see what was happening and she is turned into a pillow of salt. Then Lot takes his daughters off to a cave, gets stoned and commits incest. And the offspring of this incestuous act Moab and Ben-Ammi become the founders of two evil nations the Moabites and Ammonites that later became a thorn in israel's side. What was God thinking?
And to save man God has to let them hang him on a cross, ridicelous!
You're God, you want to save man, snap your fingers, save them in a heartbeat.
