There are 23 species of Crocodilian.
There are 4 groups of Crocodilian,
14 species of Crocodile, 2 species of Alligator, 6 species of Caiman and 1
species of Gharial which has a group of it's own. Although there is the false Gharial, but they aren't true Gharial's they just look like them but belong to the Crocodile group. Most people think all Crocodilians are Man-eaters, only around 4 species are actually considered to be man eaters. They include the American Crocodile, Australian Saltwater Crocodile, the Nile Crocodile and the Orinoco Crocodile. Although the American Alligator is not really a Man-eater, there have been reports on them attacking young children, but this is a rare occurance.
