PLAYERS AND POSITIONS
Below is a list of all the rules and guidelines regarding the different types of people involved in t he game and the positions that you can hold. These are more of explanations than rules.
1. PLAYER CHARACTERS Player Characters (PCs) are the most common, and most essential people in the RPG. They are your average people. they live under the rule of the Leader. Chances are you'll fit in this category, especially if you're just starting. These people generally don't have the influence on the people that a Leader does, yet their precense will still be an important part of the RPG as a whole. One of the most important things a Normal Character does is provide a profession to the people, thus creating goods or services for others to use. PCs interact with one another more than the leader does, so they tend to make more friends and enemies. PCs can either be new, entirely original characters or ones that are found in Majora's Mask the game. Different skills, interests, and personalities make each character different and unique. 2. LEADERS Leaders have a more important role in the overall part of the RPG, as they control and rule over the people. There is one Leader for each race, making a total of six. The Leader has to make the major decisions for the race as a whole; for example, what battles take place, whether to fund building projects, and what other things will benefit the society more. They also have more minor jobs, such as creating festivals for their race. Leaders are always skilled players of the RPG; they must know the rules well and be able to create minor stories and quests to help entertain their people. The first Leader is appointed by me. The form of government the Leader wishes to use is up to him. He can make a democracy, where the people vote on issues, but this tends to put his Leader position at stake. Most Leaders tend to favor a dictatorship, while still listening to what the people want and need. More details, for both Leaders and PCs, can be found in the Leaders section. 3. OVERSEERS Overseers are people who make the RPG run smoothly. They are not characters that play in the RPG, although they may have PCs or Leaders also. The Overseer position, however, deals with the rules of the RPG. Overseers will go around a check to see if evrybody is following the Game Rules. If anyone is breaking the rules, they will deal out appropriate punishment. Due to their knowledge on the RPG, Overseers all get one vote in the Council. Also, Overseers must perform Battles when they are needed, and Combat upon special request. This position is totally voluntary, but only the best of the best are asked to become one. Overseers come in different ranks. Higher ranks can overturn the rulings of lower ranks. They are listed below. 1. OVERSEER: The basic Overseer. They have the power to suspend users and get one vote in the Council. 2. ELITE OVERSEER: A more prestigious ranking that also comes with more power. Elite Overseer can suspend users, get one vote in the Council, and can give away some Masks and Rare Items. 3. HEAD OVERSEER: The highest level most players can get. The Head Overseers can suspend and ban users, get one vote in the Council, can give away most Masks and Rare Items, and can appoint new Overseers. 4. ULTIMATE OVERSEER: This position is reserved for me and me alone. Has all the powers of the Head Overseers, plus he can un-ban players and can eliminate Overseers. Want to become an Overseer? Look through the guide of How to Become an Overseer. Do you feel an Overseer has abused his power towards you? Check the Overseer Abuse Guide to see what you can do. 4. STORY BOARD MEMBERS This group of people comes up with stories that are large-scale, interesting quests that can drastically change the state of the RPG. The Story Board is made up of the people that have shown that they are good at storytelling. The board discusses various different things they can do to make the game more fun for people through interactive events. In the previous versions of the RPG, there were instead single Storytellers. The Story Board allows for would-be Storytellers to express their ideas in front of one another, having the input of others to add and input to the story to make it more fun. Stories the Story Board comes up are usually large, notable events. Story Board Members are referred to as SBMs. Want to become a Story Board member? Look through the guide of How to Become a Story Board Member. 5. NON-PLAYER CHARACTERS Non-Player Characters, or more commonly called NPCs, are characters that don't have a set person that controls them. There are two types of NPCs. The first can be used by anybody, usually ro help make stories. These NPCs can talk and interact with others, but they cannot serve a useful purpose of any kind (no making weapons, watching over a shop, tending crops, etc.). Be sure to limit the number of NPCs you make. The second type are NPCs given to each Leader at the beginning of the RPG. These NPCs do have a useful purpose. They are basically unique characters that the Leader can control. These NPCs are made because at the beginning of the RPG, there aren't enough players to fill all of the necessary positions, and some positions that give flavor to the RPG are not likely to be held by PCs. If a PC wishes to take over the profession and location of an NPC, he may do so. No new NPCs of this type are gained over time, either. Why? Because NPCs are merely here to fill in urgent spaces in the RPG until they are not needed any more. 6. COUNCIL MEMBERS Rules changes, rules clarification, disputes between characters, and Level 4 attainment are all subjects that the Council votes on. The Council is made up of the Overseers and Leaders, each of which gets one vote. Council votings must be open for at least 48 hours to allow time for as many Overseers and Leaders as possible to vote. A majority (over 1/2) vote is needed to win. 1 Leader/Overseer or 3 PCs can bring a topic to the Council for vote. All votes effecting rules must be sent to the Creator of the RPG (me) for approval. If they are not approved, the Creator vetoes it. A 2/3 vote is then needed for the vote to pass. 7. MODERATORS Moderators are people who make sure the Board Rules are followed at the MMRPG's board. For now, only Ultimate Overseers can be Moderators. Moderator Abuse can be reported in the same procedure Overseer Abuse can be. Want to see what people hold what position? Visit the Position Page to see the people who hold Overseer, Story Board Member, and Moderator positions.
