Joel's Log 2#:

May 19, 2003:

**DISCLAIMER: THE VIEWS OF JOEL BASKIN ARE HIS ALONE, AND DO NOT REPRESENT ANY OF THE THOUGHTS OR BELIEFS INVOLVING THE REST OF THE BAND.**

Hey everyone! This is Joel(the drummer for those who didn't know) checkin' in for the third edition of "Joel's Log". I haven't gotten the chance to update this for the longest time...it's not because I'm lazy...but we've been so busy! Dan nicely fits in the band and has easily found is voice. Anyone that has been at the last few shows have noticed, especially the difference and improvements. Tim is also growing nicely with the band, each show he gets faster at setting up his 1000 guitars! LoL Many people know that the band has had problems with bassists but finally(knock on wood) I think we've met our match! Sure she...yes SHE has taken a while to fine but is definately chalk full of talent. So what have we been up too? Well, for those that care..read on...

First off, one word...writing. And lots of it! In recent months we have added some new songs to our repetoire. This includes two songs that have been played and have gotten great reactions: Monument & Children of The Rising Sun. The latter song has an amazing finishing including a piano interlude composed by Dan. Another song that we plan to debut this week is one which a Celtic feel entitled "Pauper's Grave".

Personally, I'm just listening to all different genres of metal. I've always been open to different kinds of music but until I started working at a music store (HMV Merivale-come by anytime) did I realize that there were so many different types of metal and they are all great. I just wish more people in the area could be exposed too Metal!

Currently we're trying to book more shows and really "get out there" this summer. Maybe even some out of town dates, every fair, every show that needs some metal...we'll do our best to be there. If you or anyone else has some ideas feel free to e-mail us!

Enough rantin' for now! Hope to see you out at some of the shows this summer! It can only get better! Join the mailing list to get the latest updates.

Yours Truly,

Drummer Extraordinaire.....or Joel.
