Background
Computer systems need to be maintained to ensure they function well. Records need to be kept to assist in diagnosing any problems. It is a good idea to keep a log of all work carried out on each computer and requirements that each client suggests they may require. This will assist in determining the clients needs when upgrades are needed.
You are expected to complete a range of related to the competencies above matched with this project.
Below is a list of typical tasks which may be completed.
· Install hardware;
· Install software;
· Troubleshoot hardware problems;
· Troubleshoot software problems;
· Tailor a computer system upgrade for a specific client;
· Connect and install hardware peripherals.
From your experience at your placement produce a set of questions that should be asked of the client to methodically determine that client’s troubleshooting, maintenance or upgrade needs.
