Information
Technology is a two year HSC subject. An HSC exam may be attempted.
Certificates
may be gained after 120, 180 or 240 hours if competencies are met.
The Units of Competency can be viewed using WORD or ADOBE
ACROBAT
You will
also see the VERIFICATION OF ACHIEVEMENT OF UNIT OF COMPETENCY page that needs
to be signed off.
You can
also download these files from the Board of Studies site BOS
You need to
keep a record of your work and signed off VERIFICATION sheets in an appropriate
folder. This is the proof that you are competent.
We will use
a variety of books as resources.
The book,
Computing Studies HSC 2 Unit General (Nielsen Schwarz), will be used to assist
in the competencies for ICAITU006B, ICAITU012B, ICAITU013B
& ICPMM11BA
The reading
and exercises are scheduled in the planner.
Other
competencies may be observed in the completion of projects
. The projects will be completed using our school as the workplace.
Workplacement
consists of 35 hours in Preliminary Year and 35 hours in HSC Year. A selection
of projects will be chosen to be completed during workplacement.
