You need to find out the structure of the data and how it is organised. Collecting data involves a great deal of research. The screen layout is important..it is called a form. This helps in entering of the data and minimising mistakes. The data can also be displayed in table form. This usually shows more than one record. Data validation means that the data is checked to see that it is correct.
