14.2 Creating and saving a document

Wordwrap is used to surround a picture with text. Saving a document stores it on disk. You must take care when you print a document that you have set A4 as the document size as printers often default to US standards.

True or False? Write out the true sentences and change the false sentences so that they are true.

Creating  a document from scratch usually requires selection of the 'Open' command from the menu bar.

Text should be entered in lower case with two spaces after common punctuation marks.

When a line is full, words will be moved automatically to the next line.

The 'return' or 'enter' key should be used at the end of a paragraph.

A 'return' is represented by the ¶ character and is called a paragraph marker.

To save a document, the operator is usually required to select the 'New' command.

To retrieve a document, select the 'Save' command.

Printing a document transfers it on to a piece of paper.

The most common paper sizes are A4 letter, US letter, US legal and envelope.

To print a document, select the 'Print' command.
