A word processor is a software application to write, store, edit and print a document. Word processing is a five part process

Ø      Creating-typing in the text

Ø      Editing-changing or deleting the text

Ø      Formatting-arrangement of text to improve its appearance and readability

Ø      Saving-storing the document on a disk

Ø      Printing-transferring the document on to a piece of paper

WYSIWYG means 'What You See Is What You Get' and is used within a GUI to make word processing easier.
