Kristine Zapanta said,Technology has helped me a lot in many ways. My life became easier with all of those gadgets. The computer for example helped me a lot with my school works. It made me faster in making my projects and essays that caused me to do more jobs in one day. It also enhanced my research ability with the search engines in the internet. The cell phones also helped me with the improvement of my communication with my friends and family. I am now able to communicate with them more often and this causes all of us to be closer to each other. Digital cameras are also helpful for me because it is easier to capture moments and store images in a memory card than in an album. More pictures stored, more memories saved. I am really happy for these gadgets that technology contributed for it really makes our lives more convenient. Without these things, my life would be so boring. I wouldn't be able to enjoy my life as what I am feeling right now. I wouldn't be able to do things and I would have a hard time researching manually. I would also spend a lot in developing and buying those frames and albums for the pictures. It would also be hard for me to call up my friends everyday. It would just be a mess when all the technological things are gone. I am just really thankful for these inventions.
Technology changed my life in two ways; the positive and the negative. The positive way is that it made my life easier and more convenient, like in researching. Now I can just go to Wikipedia.com and type what you are researching on. Before, people need to go to the library and research on the books that I need to read. Also I can communicate with my friends faster. I can text our love ones using my cell phone for P1.00 and there going to receive my message in instant. I can also email or IM them whenever I want to. But before if I need to send something to my friend I need to mail it to them and it is more expensive. It really made my life easier.
The negative way is that, people now are so lazy. Less kids now likes reading because kids prefer playing PS3, PSP, etc. than reading or studying. They are becoming so addicted to the new gadgets today that they don't have time to read an Educational book. Like me I became so lazy in studying, I just watch TV instead. Additionally sometimes I study while the TV is on. I can't concentrate that much. Some people when they use the computer or the TV to much they get headaches or they get poor eye sight.
My life has changed a lot with the influence of people, my surroundings, current events, and technology. Technology has been a big part of my life since, in our time, there were a lot of innovations and developments. Cell phones, iPod's, computers, flat screen TV's, and the like were invented and modernized. As a teenager, I wanted to have the latest gadgets that will update me with the current trend and make me go with what's popular. I loved having new and updated gadgets that will update me with what's hot but as days and weeks passed, as new and improved gadgets kept coming out, I felt it was too much. It seemed like having these new gadgets are just a waste of time and of money since there's always going to be something new. Creators won't stop inventing and consumers won't stop buying. It's just a cycle - when there's something new, we buy it; after some time, new ones come out, we buy it.
I do admit that as new devices came out, and continually comes out, I became more materialistic and lazier. I actually can't live a day without my cell phone, but now I can live without texting that much. I'd often just lie around all day, watching television or sit infront of the computer chatting and surfing the net. Technology has its negative effects, but it pretty well helped us a lot - people's lives became easier with the help of machineries; students have internet on which they could research; friends and families have computers and cell phones as their means of communication; and everyone has cameras for that picture perfect moment they'd want to keep and look once in a while someday. Without technology, our lives would've been simpler, but I guess complicated is much more fun these days.
