NAFEC - Marsha Jette talked about NAFEC and reported that New London County had three county office members and four County Committee members. She and Pat Smith challenged all the counties to also obtain 100% NAFEC membership.

FSA Budget - Therese Currier, Administrative Officer, shared information about the state budget and encouraged offices to obtain supplies by July 1st and not wait until the end of the fiscal year. She also reported that staffing requests were submitted for FY07, 08 and 09. They have requested that the two current temporary Program Technicians (Wallingford and Brooklyn) be converted to permanent positions in FY2008. They are also requesting one additional temporary PT position in FY2008 and another one in FY2009. Ms. Currier stated that workload would have to justify these requests. She noted that USDA may be creating a workload system that will be used by all agencies.

Counties were asked to submit a report with the number of fireproof locking file cabinets in each office.

State Office - Bonnie Burr, State Executive Director, spoke about the recent SED orientation in Washington, D.C.  She noted concerns brought forward from counties regarding workload, performance management, Farm Bill changes, technology, use of the System 36 and other items. She answered questions from the group.

President Ostrowski expressed appreciation to Ms. Burr for her support of CRASCOE.

Summer Picnic - Ross Eddy invited CRASCOE to his farm for a summer picnic in July and August. An e-ballot will be issued to choose a date.

Accolades - Nancy Welsh thanked Doris Ostrowski for her role as President this past year.

Sandy Ford noted Keith Richmond's role for the Northeast Area and expressed appreciation for the group.

Ann McCard also thanked Doris Ostrowski for being a wonderful president this past year.

Adjourn - Ross Eddy moved to adjourn. Chris Rothe seconded and the meetin was adjourned.

Respectfully submitted,

Dawn S. Pindell
CRASCOE Secretary
