Dear Members and Associates,
I can not believe that an entire year has come and gone since I was elected President. Even more amazing is that I was re-elected! Well here we go with year two.
We have seen more changessurprise, surprise. The one thing I have learned to expect here is change. We are now facing a new farm bill and NASCOE is in there pulling for us. I'm sure the new legislation will bring more changes. I know our motto is "The Can Do Agency", but I sometimes wonder if it shouldn't be "The Can Change Agency"!
I would like to thank all of your for your continued membership in CRASCOE/NASCOE. I believe a strong membership is tantamount to a strong organization. I have been a member all my 23 years and plan to be until I walk out the door. Pat tells me that Frank Bender sent us a "Thank You" gift from the national convention for our continued 100% membership. I believe this is something we can really be proud ofeveryone one of us. My mother has always told me there is strength in numbers.
Keep up the good work. I am proud to serve along side every one of you. I truly feel part of a family in FSA. Amazingly, this family stretches far beyond the boarders of Connecticut and Rhode Island. I have just returned from my trip to Washington, D.C. and can honestly say that the feeling of family in FSA is found wherever I go. I feel it here in the Northeast states and I felt it just as palpably in Washington as well. I couldn't get over how nice everyone was and how welcome they made Mark and me feel. I am lucky to have a career in an agency where people really matter. I hope you feel lucky too.
As always, my door (phone, email) is always open to anyone with cares or concerns. I will do my best to help you find solutions. I am here because you asked me to be and will do my best to support you in any way I can. Onward!
Sincerely,
Doris G. Ostrowski
