Keith spoke about state plans and potential consolidation of 130 county offices. He reported that NACD representatives at the legislative conference were supportive of FSA administrative roles and NRCS technical roles. He highlighted the North East Area Rally and National Convention plans.

The group discussed:
         * "NASCOE Now" article concerning an opinion expressed regarding employee ages and roles.
         * Poor publicity from IPIA reviews, Keith noted efforts to reduce picayune items, and that
NASCOE is being pro-active with public relations with Congress before reports are
            presented.
         * Possible delay in new Farm Bill.
