Yes, I have a strange screen name. It's all my dad's fault. He did a lot of spelunking in high school and college, his friends nicknamed him Crash, and he can't spell. When we first got an e-mail account, he decided to use his old nickname as a handle. As I registered online at different sites, I kept that original handle. In several situations, I added "47," an inside joke from KBY, if "crasch" was already taken. I love my dad, and I think the extra 'c' in "crasch" makes it much more interesting.
I'm probably living in St. Louis, in a lovely dorm room (if such things exist), at Washington University. I'm probably sleep deprived, as I'm a perfectionist and an art major (graphic design, specifically). I also tend to use a lot of parentheses when I write (if you couldn't tell). I think they are an expression of my sarcastic side (or the side of me rebelling from grammar instruction).
