The Crafty Stitchers

Hi and welcome to our little home on the web. In June of 2002, we started a quilting class that meets each week to learn more about quilting. Most of us are members of Wannie Mae's Sunday School class at Westwood Baptist Church in Live Oak, Florida. We share ideas and learn from each other and we also do some church and community projects. We have some of the best fellowship and very tasty lunches quite often. We always have a birthday cake to celebrate the birthdays. For the gift this year, we each made two quilt blocks.
We have had a celebration trip for our first year and now, some of us were so fortunate to get to go to our first quilting retreat to North Carolina. You will find links below to take you to the pages where you can see our pictures.

Our first community project was making some very pretty quillows for the Kidney Dialysis patients in Live Oak. For some of us, it was our first experience making a quilt and we learned alot with that project. For Christmas we all made stockings and stuffed them with goodies and toys for Vivid Visions, an organization for battered and abused women and their children. Our Sunday School class joined us by contributing gifts and helping us fill the stockings. They were very much appreciated and we will continue to do some projects through out the year.
