This is the final itinerary for the first ENVE
Alumni Reunion on June 5-6th in SLO! The ENVE Alumni
Association has come upwith a great weekend filled with food, fun,
and a chance to see everyone who you survived Heat Transfer with!
We hope you all come and help make this the first of many events
that we hope to sponsor! Thanks to everyone who has worked so hard
to get this together!
HOTELS
For those of you who are coming from out of town and have lost touch
with your slacker ex-roommate who is still working on his senior
project, we have set up some hotel reservations. Both of these are
right on Monterey and should be easy access to everything SLO. Make
sure to ask for the name that the rooms were reserved under:
1) The
Holiday Inn (877) 531-5084
We have 10 rooms reserved (5 have 2 beds, 5 have 1). The price is
$125.10 plus tax and includes continental breakfast. Call to reserve
your
room. Rooms are under Cal Poly ENVE Reunion.
2) Quality Suites
(by the Holiday Inn-on Monterey) 805-541-5001
We have 9 rooms reserved (2 persons/rm) @ $135/rm (4 rooms have
two double beds in the bedroom and a sleeper sofa (living room)
that sleeps 1 - can accommodate up to 5 people with an additional
charge of $10/additional person. 5 rooms have a king bed with a
2 person sleeper sofa in the living
room (4 person max). includes a full, cooked to order breakfast
and a 2 hour free happy hour with wine tasting and beer. Call to
reserve a room. Rooms are under Jason Waudby.
BBQ
A Saturday in June...what could be better than a BBQ in the park.
We've got Cuesta Park reserved from noon till we want to leave and
will have a done of food and activities for everyone to enjoy! This
event is for everyone, alumni and students alike and should be a
great place to socialize and catch up with old (and new) friends!
Food: Tri-tip, Chicken breasts, sausages, hamburgers, sides,
soft drinks, cookies, (BYOB)
Activities: Softball, Ultimate Frisbee, and enjoying the
SLO sun!
Cost: $10 a person (to be paid through paypal), (Free for
students!).
PUBWALK
On Saturday night we will be having a pubwalk. Yes...a pubwalk.
This will be a great opportunity to visit your old SLO haunts and
show all
of those young kids how we used to do it! We'll walk from bar to
bar thank you very much....no crawling necessary. Tentative schedule
is as
follows:
Meet at Woodstock's- 6pm
Bull's-7pm
SLO Brew- 7:45pm
Frog and Peach- 8:15 pm
Library-8:45pm
Mother's- 9:15pm
BRUNCH
We will be ending our fun packed weekend with a nice brunch on Sunday.
Our volunteers will be putting together a nice slideshow presentation
so please send some photos (recent or while at Cal Poly) to be included
in the show. Send the photos to [email protected].
The brunch will be at Novo (726 Higuera Street) from 10:30am -
1pm.
We will have some social time from 10:30-11 and then have brunch
from 11-1pm.
There will be several presentations during lunch including information
about Engineers without Borders, SENVE, Environmental Engineering
at
Cal Poly, a overall look at the CE/ENVE department and finally a
discussion about the future of the ENVE Alumni Association. There
is a lot to
look forward to, so bring your appetites and ideas!!
The brunch will cost $20 per alumni and will be a selection from
