  Class Description
UC and CSU certified: Lab Science (Fulfills UC/CSU "d" requirement) Biology is the study of living things and their relationships with other living things and with the physical environment. Included is the study of life processes such as growth, reproduction, and metabolism, and the flow of energy through living systems. Genetics, evolution of life forms, classification of living things, the structure and function of molecules, cells, tissues, organs and systems that make up living organisms are also studied. Attention is given to the human species and its relationship to other life. Science attitudes, thinking processes and skills, and applications of science and technology to social problems and personal decision making are emphasized. Biology I qualifies as a laboratory science course in meeting the University of California "d" or "f" admission requirement.

 About Me
This is my first year teaching at College Park High School. My certifications include Biology and Business and ROP certifications in Multimedia and Business Computer Applications. This will be my fourth year teaching full time; subjects including biology, business, art, and computers. I have a B.S. in Environmental Technology and a minor in Computer Information Systems from Humboldt State University. Over this summer I went to Mexico to learn Spanish. For winter vacation I traveled to Peru and for spring break I went to Argentina. Yo hablo español un poco. Ciao.
