"Natalie, must we listen to this shit?" Taylor asked me.
"Taylor, tolerance never killed anyone," I informed him.
"I�m sorry, it�s just irritating," he told me.
"Well if we could all get rid of the things that irritate us the world wouldn�t be too interesting, would it now?" I asked him.
"I guess not," he said as he pulled up to my driveway. It was only 10 and I knew he was expecting me to ask him in�especially since my parent�s car was conspicuously absent.
"Where are the parentals?" he asked me.
"Dad had a conference in Connecticut, and so mom decided to make it a little vacation," I told him.
"That�s cute. My parents need to do something like that. I cannot imagine keeping tabs on seven children without a break," Taylor said. "How long are they gone?"
"They left yesterday and said they�ll be back Tuesday night. So it was kinda a long weekend."
"Nice," he said.
"Yep. Do you want to come in?" I asked him.
"Sure," he said, practically jumping out of the car. He took my hand and together we walked to the door. I unlocked it and we stepped inside. I love how my house smells�like the inside of a Pier1 Imports store. I switched on the lights by the door and the foyer flooded with light.
"I love your house," Taylor said as he pulled his jacket off and hung it in the hall closet. "It�s always so clean."
"Hahaa. Yeah, mom would have it no other way. Plus, no munchkins," I told him as I hung my jacket next to his. He didn�t respond, but instead backed me up against the closet door, his lips pressed against mine. As I kissed him back, I remembered why I put up with all the crap from people. I loved this man, I was gonna keep loving this man, and no one was going to stand in my way.
